I’m a recent returnee to modelling & I have to say my enthusiasm for the hobby is at an all time high. The evenings are drawing in & there’s a feel of autumn in the air, by 8 o clock I’ve finished up in the garden, put my animals to bed, & my mind is drawn to the bench in my new modelling shed where my latest project is calling me. I enter, kick off my boots, and set the heater to low, switch on the wireless & park my butt in that old familiar chair. The hours seam to fly by & before I know it its 10.30 & my lady wife is bringing me out the final hot drink of the evening. With a wave of her hand & a crisp “I’m off to bed, don’t stay out here too long†she’s gone & I’m back in the modelling bubble. At times like this I could stay out there all night long. I was wondering, it cant just be me that gets this feeling do others of you feel the same & indeed have you stayed up all night beavering away on your latest project in your own little modelling bubble. Having 7 children means I can’t escape modern music & I have to admit some of it I really like. However in the sanctuary of my modelling shed (& tractor cab) I listen to; Bluegrass, traditional & contemporary Blues. And for motivation; Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Little Feat, The Band, John cougar Mellencamp………..you get the picture.

Great start, love it. I’m no expert & I’m not criticising in any way but maybe it could loose a little weight above the front arches. I just think it would look proportionally in balance with the rear, especially looking from the side. As I mentioned earlier I wouldn’t dare criticise as I’m a novice model builder & not in your league at all. As it is it though, it looks meaner than a scrap yard dog, with a bite to match. I love the head on shot; it would make your spine tingle to see that beast lurking in the rear view. I’ll be following along. Davey

I have to admit that I prefer my cars older & rounder (a bit like me) but every now & again a model comes along & I think; “Yes, if I could build em I’d like em to look just like thatâ€. This model has that effect on me. I love the subject, the colour, the execution, the stance in fact I cannot see anything about it I don’t like. I doff my cap. Davey.
