  1. Those guages look great Mike! The pedals are nice too, where did you source those? Steve

    57 Chevy

Yes, looks very cool with the hellas, more photos would be great. Steve
  3. That top is looking cool Bill, nice mod.
  4. Real cool! I love the way the suspension and exhaust pieces contrast with the yellow. Testors "Titanium" perhaps? Steve
  5. Hey thanks Derrick and Bruce! Means allot. This build is done now, here is the thread I started in "Under glass" if you would like to check out the completed result. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=62067 Steve
  6. Wow, thanks Mike, I'm just glad to see others that dig the same style of builds that I do. Steve
  7. Hey thanks Andrew! This is the kit..
  8. Cool! I like the way you have customized and modernized this! The engine bay looks sweet. And nice hinge work, I know how difficult it is to make a forward hinge to work right, great work. Steve
  9. Thanks Jason, I agree the stock ride height of this gen is just too high. I love the lines of this body style though so I just had to bring it down, way down.
  10. Thanks Jerred for including this one in the trade! I beleive the supercharger was left over from the Jada Mustang kit. Steve
  11. I'd like to thank everyone for the great comments, I was not sure how this radical conversion would go over, glad there are those who like it. I just masked the outer rings of the rim and shot the centers with dullcoat. Steve
  12. I like the modern version, the big moons look cool though. And it seems you had the first mockup lower, which looks very cool. Steve
  13. Hey all, here is a quick build I'd like to show off. Got this kit in a trade, used some pegasus wheels and tires, dropped in an LS 1 with a supercharger, fabricated a new front spoiler, side panels, rear diffuser, wing and custom front grill. Let me know what you think! Steve
  14. Nice work so far on that frame and it will be sweet with the LS power in there! Steve
  15. Very nice! Great foil job and excellent paint! Thanks for sharing this. Steve
  16. I don't know, tell me this is not WRONG..
  17. I think it is more like saying, "Ok, I like ice cream, can anyone explain to me how someone could possibly like ice cream that has been dropped on the floor, stepped on, put back in the bowl, left out for days collecting dirt, dog hair, flies and who knows what else?" If you take an old barn find with a worn patina, get the engine running, throw some cool tires and rims on it, that's cool. When cars are purposely built to look like junk just for the "shock" factor, that I hate. Foose is building these type of cars now, and even uses technics to make fresh paint look old, worn and patina like, dumb. Steve
  18. Just like the window sticker says, NICE! All of them. I never get tired of 57s either.. Steve
  19. Real nice job. The paint job is outstanding! What's the grill made from? Steve
  20. Absolutely! Let's see yours. I fabricated the hinge out of sheet plastic, it has two pivot points and is spring loaded. I also set up a release hook that is activated by a lever under the grill..
  21. Thanks everyone for the positive responses, I'm glad you all approve! Thanks Ryan! I just used a larger diameter wire, sliced wedges out of them, bent them accordingly and glued them at the right angle. Steve
