keep an eye on it they seem to randomly catch on fire

its all solved switched compressors and airbrush. im gonna use the tire compressor and HF airbrush for just aclad chrome

im using a badger 150 anthem its a thick mist like what hit the wheel. i can get a mist at 20psi. im waiting on a smaller compressor with a more dialed in regulator

nothing comes out at 5psi it registers at 20 but if i crank it down to 10 it does just that spits it out

its almost like it needs to be thinned. i have better results with polished aluminum than chrome

got a new molding rubber.

i dont have the room for 2pc molds and i dont like making 1pc casts of wheels larger than 18" especially with a lot of spoke spacing so i decided to try and just cast the face of the wheel as opposed to destroying the master trying to just get the face of the rim. i cut a piece of cardstock just enough to slip the wheel in then sealed it with glue. then i build a support box so that the weight of the mold rubber doesnt bow the sides out and the weight doesnt rest on just the wheel. i tried it before with a more barbaric method but the result was succesful. this was the prototype that inspired the idea im happy with the result

ive used smooth on 45d with mild results im hoping theres something better that doesnt take 2 days to cure anyone got ideas?

maybe im maturing as a builder but something like this would usually not be seen in my bench. its mostly box stock exept the engine and wheels.

anyone wanna bet me 5$ that this car can support its own weight by just the mirrors and door handles

this one is staying as is maybe on the next one, i found a reference picture with a white interior i just dont like having a all white interior with just a black dash it looks weird to me.

homestretch, i changed the wheels again it looks better just messing around lol, but for sure the next one will be on 30s

terror if i could i would thanks charlie i really wanted to use the gold hurst stripes but i couldnt keep myself from painting it green. heres some shots of the interior, i know the dash was supposed to be black but it looks great in white.
