this was a stalled project from early 2007. just getting around to it. ive yet to set up the suspension but the idea is to build a hopper that wont get stuck. pictures are backwards im too lazy to fix
got this resin body a while ago, i didnt have the caprice or impala kit so i butchered what was left of my alternomad to the flintstone body. the colors are all House of Kolor bases. im undecided on wheels but some baby moons wouldve looked sweet on it.
i was very skiddish about 2 part clears for a long time but after constant disappointments from rattle bombs i decided to try it out and been happy ever since. you have to do it as posted on the directions other than that is peachy. i use Xtreme urethane clear.
also just because it looks dry after 45 minutes doesnt mean it is lol
yeah it was pretty bad i say about 2 hours to get int paintable. im not gonna build it i just did the hard work for him to finish off. he has to clear it and paint the rest.
a friend at work wants to get into building so i told him id help him out so i figure id give him this, well the body was rough im serious it was very rough so if i were you id stay away from the recent reissue. it was supposed to be just a staight shoot and toss back in the box well i got carried away. my gf saw me working on it and took it away after i took this pic and hid the car. she did a good job too cause i dont know where it is now.
thanks for the replies guys
ive done this before i say around 98 i had built a 62 with a hand patterned top and before that a 53 chevy my exs ex destroyed. this was the first time ive done a whole car and it was tedious i worked on it in between builds so it too i think a little bit longer than 7 months.
this, i spent 2 hours cleaning it up to make it presentable, i dont even want it anymore im giving away to a friend so he can see if he can get into models
if its those stupid government exams just wing it, Students dont get fired, if its midterms i feel for ya but i winged that too and passed with above average grades.
