  1. Peacekeeper toys are mostly 1:18th. (bought my grandson the half track so he knew what his great grandpa drove in the great war WW2). GI JOE is 1:18th. Here is what I found in 24TH and 25th: Jeep with .50 http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/IT6351 1:24 scale detail kit with .50 http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/ED35682 Landrover with M60? or maybe a brit gun http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/IT6353 RC Tanks' http://www.wartoyz.com/page/WT/CTGY/FOV-RC24
  2. Not sure how well this will work on plastic bodies but I used a pick type tool from my hobby kit and it works better then a knife because it does not slip out of the groove when cutting doors or other body panels out. Sorry the pics suck but my camera broke.
  3. Thats where I am Mark. I got the basics now but a lot of scratching upp to do. Got alot of casting too. I figure each gun I get done I will just cast the parts for the other. Got 2x30mm Vulcans, 2x M123 Miniguns and 2x20 mm bushmaster chain guns and one more .50 cal to build. Plus pedestals and turrets for all of them. What I am working on now? Carving out the doors. Got 8 hours in this one: I found for reference for anyone, cutting doors and such is easier with a pic then a knife in resin any how. It doesn't slip out of the groove like a knife.
  4. Said Boiler look I thought looked cool but it will be converted into a twin .50 remote turret. I have a single .50 from an Army Jeep so I was going to try and cast it which maybe we could get some one to repop it. Problem is is I am limited on funds so it might be a while. Just took a big hit in the money dept.
  5. Must a got a hell of a deal. Just checked evil bay and they got an opened complete for "Buy it Now" $100.
  6. Yeah, Like my Dad said yesterday. They probably either bought it or recieved it as a gift and then realize 225 pieces were a lot so they shelved it. My dad said he put quite a few together for other people back in the day. I plan to forage as many rummage sales as possible this summer. I am also looking for shelves. My dad had these aluminum stackable shelves originally from finger hut but they disappeared and I can't find them anywhere. They were long enough to fit the truck and trailer on them or with more then one trailer jack knifed on it.
  7. I am still working on a log cabin (dream home). Started with a sketchup house because it looked like the one I wanted and then after hacking at it for two months decided it would be easier to start from scratch, lol.
  8. Updates, Updates! Everything is looking good from you guys. Hopefully mine will turn out that good. I need to do some casting for a .50 cal ma duece and such. But this is where I am now. I took the big step and no turnin' back now. The turret looks a little off but is actually centered in the cab. Shaved a bit much off one side so I will need to infill. I took the lowboy trailer kit and hacked the center section out which made it perfect lenth. Then I plan to hack apart some of the transformers to build the roof turret section. Got the tires and wheels figured out thanks to Dave at AITM. We also figured cab mounts need raised and possible suspension lift. We'll see.
  9. Picked this kit up at garbage...err...rummage sale for fifty cents friday. Opened but complete.
  10. I think its too narrow. Gotta be 30 to mid 40s pickup or bigger truck cab.
  11. Littl bit of mock up. Trying to figure out what to use for the top turret. I have a few of the lowboy electrical transformers that seem to be the right height. The bed is just a livestock trailer roof. Though the length and width are close. I want to get the cab to set about this high and these tires.
  12. Yeah I hate snap kits but this one is greatly detailed for a snap. Its about half way between a snap and full detail.
  13. Thanks Jacobus I found a big manifying glass so I will give it a shot.
  14. OK ya'll. Here is some outdoor pics. A little better quality.
  15. Sorry to here that Rob. Good Luck. Here is my frame extension in the beginning stages:
  16. Not sure on Not sure. But that rig is from the late 70s early 80s so good luck on finding it. I think it had some functioning lighting. Someone on the forum here is building a 1:24 or 25 semi into RC so you might check it out. It is in the big rig section somewhere.
  17. This is pretty cool. My Dad has a 1:25 scale Remote Control Auto Transport but is missing some stuff like the remote but I was thinking of rebuilding it.
  18. Well, thats all good so when are they bringing us 1:24-1:25 Military vehicles? I know my dad had a T60 tank and the Jeep. And a HMMWV is being released this year.
  19. Thanks Dennis. This build is a first for me on quite a few parts and mods.
  20. I think I got better pics in the sun and it finally stopped raining so let me see what I can do.
  21. Darren I know it has been a while since you hinged the doors but could you PM any pics you got on it? Also how you built up the door panels? Great Build though. Can't wait to see this one done. Thanks.
  22. Well the problem I got at the moment is I need a Camera since mine went to ###### and now I have to use a phone cam.
