  1. Wow....nice clean work Siim! I'm looking forward to more pics of your build ups. Nice work!
  2. I had the same problem....just scrapped a 69' Camaro bc I wasnt happy with the paint job. I scavenged the engine and wheels for a different project though. Now I'm going to start a new project. The important thing is to keep a positive attitude and don't rush anything. The minute things aren't working out the way you want them to just put it down and take a break. I learned that with this Camaro build. This ones looking good though....keep going!
  3. Looking good. I like the paint job!
  4. Really like the 32'....nice job!
  5. I'm currently using a Tamiya TS-38 (Gunmetal) and I was wondering what type of paint are these cans? Acrylic? Lacquer?...Also I noticed that if I'm not wearing a full breathing mask that these fumes hurt my lungs a lot more than any other paints even if I'm in a well ventilated area. I am also going to clear it so I was wondering what clear is compatible with these line of spray paints.
  6. More progress...Used various items from the Corvette including the radiator fan, the seats, and the drilled rotors and brakes...also added some flocking in the interior.
  7. Yes...please post an update. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the engine come together.
  8. Amazing job! The engine compartment looks great!
  9. definitely a model!
  10. Got the LS2 engine complete and installed in the painted frame. I also added Scale Motorsport carbon fiber decals to the coil covers.
  11. Ok ok....pic removed!
  12. Started a new project! I'm building a 69 Camaro Z28 and swapping the engine with an LS2 powerplant from the 05 C6 Corvette. This proved a little difficult at first because the LS2 engine is connected to the transmission located in the rear and they are cast as 1 piece. So I had to cut the transmission off the 69 Camaro engine and attach it to the back of the LS2 engine (which also had to be cut).
  13. Nicely Done!
  14. I agree....nice paint job and nice stance but I don't know about the wheels either.
  15. Looks great! What brand flocking did you use?
  16. What is the best way to lower the 66 Nova Pro Street by AMT. It looks like I can probably just add some blocks to the rear because the axel is above the leaf springs...but what about the front? The spindles look like they can be flipped to be higher or lower and I'm not sure which way they are supposed to go. If they are supposed to be lower then I can just flip them and that should lower it some but if they are already supposed to be mounted in the higher position then how else can I lower the front? I hope that makes sense. Thanks!
  17. Band Aid...Great Idea! I used masking tape but the Band Aid looks much better.
  18. Thanks Steve....I was thinking about the alternator bracket also. It looks odd just hanging out there like that. I'll look that up.
  19. Wow!...Thanks for all the kind words. I guess I'm on the right track.
  20. Love it! The header wrap is used to keep the heat in the headers and allows the exhaust speed to remain high. It gives some extra performance. I'd like to know what you used for the wrap though?
  21. Awesome job...I really like this one!
  22. So after looking for a new hobby and reading this forum for awhile, I decided to get my first model. I went with the 66 Nova Pro Street. I definitely learned a lot by researching this forum and just completed the engine. Tell me what you think!....anything else that I can do to improve it?
