1963 Chevy Pickup
Elliot949 replied to Elliot949's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
I got it from a board member a couple of years ago.... I have always thought it was really kewl and was waiting for the right project... -
that was actually a 67 Chevelle that was issued in the early 90's or late 80's... Unless you are wanting that specific kit with the decals and all the reissues are pretty easy to come by for a reasonable price... There is usually a few on Ebay at about any given time... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Revell-67-Chevelle-Pro-Street-1-25-Kit-No-85-4923-/390564348604?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item5aef7302bchttp://www.ebay.com/itm/Revell-67-Chevelle-Pro-Street-1-25-Kit-No-85-4923-/390564348604?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item5aef7302bc

Early 60's GMC 1/2 ton conversion?
Elliot949 replied to Rob Hosking's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
The Modelhaus is to busy with orders to do one offs... Once he stops making a part/ kit the molds are pretty much toast and no way to make any other parts without extensive work to make new molds... your only hope is to find some old parts off of Ebay or maybe Sean Stacey or Casey Littman can shine some light on this... -
Poor resin '65 Pontiac Parisienne Sport
Elliot949 replied to 421gto's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Simon... that actually looks like a TKM resin... TKM is probably the worst blob of any kind you can get... TKM ruined alot of people of resin kits... I have built several resins over the years and you just need to deal with reputable compnies like The Modelhaus, Bandit Resins, Replicas in Miniature and there are several others that make quality resin kit that would rival the best in styrene... As far as the specific Pontiac you are discussing I really do not have a clue if anyone cast that model... I hope this at least helps a little bit... Dan -

I just purchased a sealed autographed model of this From Rick Dobbertin... He is a really cool guy... Rick and I have exchanged alot of emails over the last few weeks... The 2000 was sold to a guy is Chicago... it since sold again at Auction and remained in Chicago... Here are a few Quotes from Rick: "The car is is Chicago. I sold it years ago and it was just sold again. I believe it went for $350,000.00." "There is a huge Pro Street reunion in DuQuoin this June and the J-2000 is supposed to be one of the big features." This is what he says he is working on now... "An old 1979 Manta Mirage kit car... simple and really fun to drive. Like a go-kart on the street. -Rick"

I left the interior, Chassis and Engine as I got it.. .stripped the paint off of it... Went with Hotrod Flat Blat and a whit Toneau cover and I found this decal in the decal box and thought it was perfect for this build Wheels and tires are from the parts box... Started this Saturday Morning and finished it a couple hours ago...

Art and I tried to work a deal back in 2000 for his business but there was just not a viable way to do it and see the type of ROI that a business person needs to make to just sustain a business... Art Offered alot of assistance to me if I bought the items but it just didn't work... That is also the same time I found out how big of jerk Juha Ario is... The items for All American Models is to old now to have any value... I know there is alot of negative talk about Art but I will only say that Art got in a situation that he was just unable to get out of... Art is infact a great guy... -

AWESOME WORK!!!!... WOW!!!! -
James... This looks great... I think the guys have given you some great pointers but one Thing I see is you need to work on the stace... this kit just sits to high for a shelby... Needs to come down about 2 scale inches to make it sit like a 1:1... JMHO... dan

you may try a Auto Parts Store or Auto paint supply Store... They typically sell engine colors in spray cans like Duplicolor or VHT... these will do alot of models but more cost effective...

Sstacy is GREAT... Greg Wann is tops... Outragis (Eric) is a great guy... I am sure I will think of more that I have traded with but just can't think right now...

A couple of Ranchero's
Elliot949 replied to Porscheman's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
The issue on the 66 is two things... First it is a 67... LOL... but the big thing is the quarter panels are off... They did not correct the "hump" along the upper belt line... The beltline on the 66/67 Ranchero is fairly straight... by doing it the way he did makes it look farther off than it probably really is... -

They are gone... Duane had severe medical issues... I think there is someone that took over part of his product line but I am not sure who that is... I have seen his distributors on another website...
