  1. Just an FYI... Steve does a pretty good job of going through and weeding out the total junk... You will tend to get the best of what Ray offers... So I guess to summerize, buying from Steve is almost like standing and looking at it in person... Steve is one of the most honest guys I have ever dealt with in any industries... Just my opinion... Dan
  2. I used to have a Model swap meet in Wichita, Ks... Ray was at a couple of the shows selling his stuff... Ray is a great guy but his stuff is slightly better than TCM stuff... there is alot of his stuff that only he makes so if it is a subject matter that you really want his stuff is worth the little extra time to do wome rework on... Dan
  3. Yep... Easiest way to get his stuff id through Steve Kohler... Here is his website: http://resinrealm.net/Star/STARModels.html
  4. I believe the Photoetch set is Detail Masters stuff: http://www.detailmaster.com/ ... You might try The Modelcar Garage: http://www.modelcargarage.com/store/pc/default.asp... Scale Dreams is a great resource for different items also: http://stores.scaledreams.com/StoreFront.bok
  5. Scale Equipment LTD makes alot of stuff.... http://www.seltd.net/
  6. Good luck trying to find a set of these for 6 times the 2012 price... LOL
  7. Well now I have heard a different side... I don't know the man but I would love to meet him, sit and talk with him and look at those models that I drooled over when I was like 14 years old...
  8. I found this link also on some of his stuff... http://s92.beta.photobucket.com/user/Finktim/library/Models%20by%20Richard%20Carroll/#/user/Finktim/library/Models%20by%20Richard%20Carroll?&_suid=1359382489771005974649471431076
  9. That is sooo kewl on several levels... I have heard that Richard Carroll always was a little stand offish... Really didn't want anything to do with the people in the hobby... He would have been what you would think of today as a computer geek, a very techy type guy... I have never meant him but that is what I have heard... I have also heard that he still builds but nobody will ever see his stuff...
  10. he was a builder in the sixties and seventies... He scratch built eveerything... He was WAY ahead of his time... I am not sure where you got those tires but they are very rare and worth alot of money especially in that condition... I have seen them sell for as little as 40.00 and as high as 110.00...
  11. I will check in in the morning to see how it is going... you really have my attention on this one... Try to get it down in the weeds...
  12. I got this off of ebay a few years ago... and just decided to build it... I got some parts from The Modelhaus like the hood, Front and rear bumpers and Tail Lights... I still have alot of the original parts for it and may actually buy a Modelhaus body and interior bucket so I will have a complete kit again...
  13. Very Nice Bird
  14. I just got the clearcoat and Baremetal foil on this project... I started with a original AMT 67 Galaxie Builtup... I am replacing the chassis with a highly modified 65 Ford Galaxie chassis due to the fact it is alot more detailed than the 1 piece 67 chassis... I am modifying a set of 1/24th scale Magnum 500's from a Mopar kit (I think) and adding a set of the Pegasus Step sleeves to get that Pro Tour look... This will run with a 427 or if I can come up with a 06-12 Mustang engine it will get that... We will just have to wait and see...
  15. shawn is not casting anymore...
  16. I married her then divorced her... LOL
  17. I am diggin this car...
  18. The original Revell Snap kit of the 77 Monte Carlo has them...
  19. mold it but also the Chevy Sedan that you put the Olds top on would be cool to...
  20. oooooo I am going to have to have this reaend in 1/16th... let me know when it is available...
  21. My User name is from NASCAR... Back in the day I was a HUGE Bill Elliott Fan... Over the years Bill drove the #9 car then her drove the 94 car... then went back to the #9... hence the Elliot949... His name is spelled with two "T's"... My Email address is the same as my user ID on here... When I first created the Elliot949 I had is spelled Elliott949 then I had a problem with my Email address and had to redo the name and it would not let me do it with the two "T's" again... I have had this email address for about 22 years on both Yahoo and AOL... My Avatar is a pic of my dream car... I am in the process of trying to find a 1:1 61 chevy Biscayne or Belaire 2-dr Sedan right now... When I do find one I can tell you my time onhere will be limited until that project would be completed...
  22. Thanks James but his are vinyl not decal material... I still had problems with the redline decals from the Revell Charger... Wasted a complete set of them before I gave up...
  23. You might want to check with Sean Stacey on this board... his castings are top notch, fast shipping and overall great guy... I got a couple of resin 55 Chevy Gasser front axles from him and outside of not being chrome plated they are as nice as the kit parts...
  24. took me over a year to get my decals... I won't order there again...
