I agree with Dave Zinn's comment about Bob Downie.
Bob's builds are an excellent example of a clean build.

Saturday evening over here in OZ.
Working on a 70 Torino Cobra, inspiration for this build is from the Mad Max Interceptor.
-
Finally made a start on my build.
So far ive filled in side marker lights.
Shaved the side vents and door locks.
Removed mold lines.
Rescribed door and boot/trunk gaps.
Block sanded the body.
Next up is to get the ride height set and start work on the engine.

Another excellent chopper build Jim. Cleanly built, very well detailed, paintwork is tops. The chrome accent strip on the sides of the tank is cool feature.
-
I like it.
Looks good de-chromed and like the colour scheme you chose.
I agree they are good fun to build.

Unique for sure

Look foward to seeing the 70 Chevelle Doc.

Wow! super clean detailed builds, truly inspirational.

Amazing paintwork on all of them.
BIOMECH C-300 is my favourite.
Your weathering/rust and gunk builds are exceptional and skillfully done.
-
Excellent work on all of them Chuck.
Good variety of subject's.
I really like the 62 Lincoln.
-
I got them from Scale Dreams.
They are Pegasus # 1109 Dz's chrome
-
Doc the rims are 2 piece, like you said centre insert and outer trim ring.
I brushed painted the inserts with Tamiya X-1 black.

What, black paint? Man I wish I could paint like that, makes me cry everytime I look at these lol
LOL ,you know me mate love my black paint.
With some practice im sure you be able to get the same results.
This is the third time I return to soak in these builds. There's something about them, the style, that I really like and that has captured my imagination. THANK YOU!
Thanks heaps Doc,Its great to know that you like them and it means alot to have you comment on my builds.

10 Completed so far, hoping to get atleast 2 more finished before the year ends.
Seeing as the Doc asked for some eye candy, these are my favourites for the year
-
Couple more pics.
Like I said built same way and style as the Nova
Will post some more outdoor pics of the Chevelle soon
-
Another Amt kit converted to a curbside Lowrider.
Not much to explain about it as its built exactly the same style as the 72 Nova I posted recently.
-
Good job for you first build
I had a set of flat black cragers for it but it seemed like too much black.
You can never have too much black IMO
-
Wow ! Amazing work as always,looks like a 1:1
-
Thanks again for additional comments much appreciated
on the interior did you over spray the buff with anything or just use the buff paint alone ?
No overcoat, just used XF-57 buff paint Andy

X2 with what Brett said.
Have seen this being built on the Oz forum and have to say Shawn is very highly skilled and this build is one of the most impressive Australian scratch builds I have ever seen.
Wait til you guys see the amount and the quality of scratch building he has done.
