This one got most of its parts from the General. I got a very rough casted body, with the sleeper alredy glued to the cabin. There was warpage, and cracks. Floorboard, and dash was casted as one piece, and the grill was whitemetal. Lots of work, but I was very happy when finished. I love this style GM trucks, so I might buy my self a AITM kit as well.

This is my holiest grail. Close followed by Record's Renault Floride/Carvelle.

You have a stock one Kevin, and I get a Rodded one, then we have both too enjoy in the future. I really look forward to You get it copied, I wish at least two. I just was on the phone talking too my Swedish friend, as I'm going to Sweden late June. It's amazing how small the world is today, as in just weeks we have tracked down two seriuosly rare modelcars. Now my next grail might be the rarest ever done, the Verneuil Matra Djet.

Hi! I've only seen one built as a ProStreet years back, but I found this picture on web. It looks as a typical Modelhaus casting, except the chassis might be a bit more shallow.

First now I recon the wider arches on the SS. When looking at the picture at the boxart, I understand that those was very soft. Rubber, or thinn PVC? -
Easy one!

Love it! If You are a serious guy, wishing to make a shell(maybe with seperate grill, bumpers, and lights, just dreaming)in 1/25. I would prepay You for a couple of castings. On the other hand. How much would it cost to print one master in 1/25 scale? Asking, as You might be able to find a market for decent DAK drafts alone. Then maybe some other casters would take the cost of making a 1/25 master. Just a thought. OHH! A nice casting, with seperate parts, as mentioned over, and maybe just a plain interiorbucket(to be detailed by builder) could do 70 bucks at least. If quality on the casting are top notch, and if there are windows done as well, You could probably add 20, as the subject is unique. I dare too say so, because I know that in few years, DAK drawing, 3D scanning, and printing, will allow for a lot more unique bodies, and the printtingtechnics will be cheaper, and thereby the masters way cheaper. If You decide to go into this market, do it while You are one of very few, and be established, before there are several with the same possibillities.

Is'nt the grill otherwise as well? I've wondered about just making the dooropenings in resin, and the grill, to be honest. Would make the rest to the builder, but it should not be hard to do. There was three different grills, done by ERTL, and just one have been reissued. Also something I've been thinking of casting. My old built Spor. In a sad state today. Lot's of nice wheels'n tires in here. I see that I could find lot more then I was aware of. One of the things I've learned during the years are this: Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki It's MRC wheels, with Kyosho Mini Z Tires. I know there is Kyosho script on the side, and the tread is possible not prototypical correct to any make, but that was a minor problem when my mate, Tommy's red one, and I, built these two. Together with tires for the Revell Tuner wheels(Accura, Civics, Focus), these might be the size tires I look the most for. Does anyone make tires for the Revell Tuner wheels?

Thank You for doing this thread. Now as it looks as the MAD Notch looks to be the better version, and the talk about Revell coming with one, I'm looking forward to see the latter ones built. Also a thanks to Kris Morgan whom clearly tells that if You don't need the complete kit, You could order the parts You need. This makes it far more intersesting for guys like me, whom barely build stock. -
You might be able to convert the Replica & Miniatures of Maryland's Triumph into a dirtbike. The options in the kit makes for a custombike, but as it should not be hard to modify using tires from a later Revell, or MPC casting.

I was blown away by this Roadrunner last year. As I have to return to Al about my order, I might have to consider the parts needed for this. Hosted on Fotki Here is Al Fotki page: http://public.fotki.com/cnaind/ -
Hi guys! I know where one of the Mike Watgen castings are, and I'm going to be the lucky owner of it soon enough. Just need to meet my friend, whom got it from Mike him self, as gift, back in the early '90s. Since my health are not of the best, I have barly been joying our hobby the last years, but now it looks as I'm on the right path. I belive it is the Van I will get, but I must confest that I've not seen the casting since '95, when I visited my then, new friend, the first time. I had seen one of Mikes build ups of the Delivery as a Rod, on top of a Hauler, in a magazine. I've never got it out of my mind afther that. My plans is to cast it, but I think I also will ask another company to cast it, as mailing, and materials for casting it, are expencive here in Norway. I will try to cover local market my self. Hopefully I will have it in July, then I hope I might get to start casting inside a year. I'm new to casting, but hopefully I will learn from fellow modellers fast enough. Or buy trying, and fauling. I also know that Fred Sterns told no to a collection of the original SMP/AMT Tourings not long ago. The seller had a dusin or more, but there was no boxes. Sellers asked 150$ each, and Fred could not see how he could make any money from that. Maybe Fred have the sellers name? Maybe email Fred and ask?

Your always been a teaser Tapani! I have some pictures here: http://public.fotki.com/bugace/plastic-modelbuilding/model-kit-companies/air-trax-1/ Sorry too say I have yet too picture all theire kits. Some of these I have my self, but far from all. I will just add one thing here. Tapani is one great guy, and if You order, You will get Your model. I have helped builders in the US, and Oceania getting Air-Trax kits. If You have Paypal, it is very easy. What Tapani doesn't tell all is that he like cars from before 1962. If he does the Ghia T3, he suprices me, but he have done some others beeing newer models as well. Now Tapani, I need a Cortina SW. I'm not in need of wheels'n tires, or seats. How much do You ask then?
