"ONE-ADAM-12 CLEAR"..............

  6. GREETINGS builders, GLUE; what product could I use to de-bond old glue ?, just picked up a box of old glue bomb kits that still can be re-built. Something that would not harm the old plastic. AIR COMPRESSOR; what one is better ? the small metal one painted blue by paasche #D 500 -or- the mini air one in clear blue plastic by testors ? Your comments please, THANKS........ John
  7. As being a builder of emergency apparatus, I see in my future.....a new squad box ambulance, quick attack mini-pumper, walk around rescue, or how about a brush/grass fire rig.... but let's not stop there... we can also build a wrecker too!!! but wait there's more...take the open road camper, cut the old front / rear clips off, scratchbuild some newer extensions... and presto!!! a brand new class C motorhome.... GOTTA get at least two of these kits.
  8. GREETINGS truck builders, I just picked up the older REVELL (ITALERI) Ford aero-max 120 big rig, how well does this go together ? any problems with assembly I should know about. Also have the ITALERI heavy tanker (BP gas) don't know if we would see that six wheel set up here in america, if I wanted to change that one, what suspension could I replace that one with. Comments and building tips always welcome.... THANKS John
  9. GREETINGS, fellow builders, As I'am revamping my hobbyroom, I've placed WHITE pegboard on some walls and also on the walls around the workbench to reflect lighting better. LIGHTING; What do you like?, the hum and buzz of CFL bulbs or the LED ones that cost more, what gives more light. WORKBENCH; On the bench top, I placed a sheet of white paper and over layed that with a sheet of plexi-glass. Good choice or bad for the plexi ??. The bench will also have more lighting overhead. PEGBOARD; On walls now, so that I can hang parts, tools, clipboards etc, and I can stop digging through endless boxes of stuff to find what I need. Did I do good ?, what's your take on this, any comments are always welcomed if there's room for more improvment. THANKS!! John
  10. GREETINGS builders, How could I update the dukes dodge monaco into a plymouth fury??, and what kind of wheels and rims need to be used to make this more of a correct police pursuit package. I don't like those chunky tires in the kit. THANKS...... John
  11. So if you or anyone else can help again, please reply to me here. THANKS.... John
  13. Does anyone know what is up with the site??, my anti-virus kicks up and says there are to many trogans that has infected it. 16. GREETINGS fellow builders, went to the L.H.S. today to pick up some paint, and oh my goodness, can you belive this...TESTORS 3oz. regular and model master spray is $ 6.50 a can, 1/2 oz. model master bottles is $ 4.00 and regular 1/4 oz. bottles is $ 2.00. Not only did testors do this, so did all the rest of the companies who supply us with our products. Just wanted to let all of you know so that there is no suffering of "sticker shock" when you arrive. So does this mean that I`am going to toss out my kits and stop building ??? NO, but it pinches the `ol hobby dollar a lot more.
  17. Hello Gary, go to italeri.com and check there website , they list some trailers there but the steer trailer is not on it. The reefer they list is #3813 and an American cargo trailer is #3831. GOOD LUCK with the model ....from John

  21. Using the Dodge L-700 or Ford C-600, I would like to make these more heavy duty by adding a second set of rear duals, how do I go about doing this, and would I need to add a bigger engine to the trucks for more power. Your comments please. THANKS
  22. The new charger police cars are here, and this is my on review. INSTRUCTIONS- 11pgs., with photo layout of parts and X` on parts not used, some extras for your spare bin. ENGINE- you`ll be busy here, It`s a multi-parts build-up with good detail. FRAME- also the same, another multi-build with much added detail parts. Watch out for those TIRES- looks like it`s a "pin and snap" assembly over the axel stubs, take care not to break them. INTERIOR- pretty much strait foward with front bucket seats and door panel detail. EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT- center mount control panel with laptop, full center divider panel, spotlights, push bumper with warning lights and eight lightbars, CODE 3/javelin,MX 7000 and 360 degree. FEDERAL/ arjent. TOMAR/ "the blade". WHELEN/ edge ultra, patroit LED. VECTOR/ V-bar this V is smaller than the one in the crown vic. BOX ART states car bodys and lightbars are pre-painted, however mine are not, just white plastic and clear bars. All eight lightbars are included in each version of this kit. I paid $ 17.00 each for these kits, well worth the price just for the lightbars. With all the multi-extras, these kits will keep you building for the next several weeks. Well builders, that`s my comments, so maybe you`ll pick up one or two or ...... HAPPY MODELING to all .
  23. We have moved from the old local of clintondale high school to our new location at 59-WEST. Were in the CVS/Save-A-Lot plaza. 24. GREETINGS once again fellow modelers, If you remember the parts pack of a few years ago of the old MPC OPEN ROAD camper and RACERS WEDGE hauler like I do, how does this sound ??, a parts pack of the old MPC MINI-PUMPER/WRECKER BED of those kits that were done in the sixty`s or so. I sent ROUND 2 AN e-mail about this idea, but remember, I`am only one voice in this, so if any of you out there think this is a good shot at another parts pack could you give me a hand and drop ROUND 2 a note saying that you would like to see them back as a kit pack. And maybe, just maybe, they will think about it and put that idea on the table. Let me know what you think, and I`ll check back with you in a few days. So until then.... HAPPY MODELING, from AMT4EVR THANKS.
