  1. I agree it is good bonding time, with any of your children. I too hope that one day I will be able to share such qualities with my own children If I ever get the chance to have any. The Patience building part of it especially .
  2. Oh man I feel your pain there, I cannot tell you how many countless times that's happen to me . I have always used Paint Thinner for the Laquers that I have used, and then washed the body and part off with Dawn antibacterial soap which seems to do it for me. But I will point out that the others here have their own methods to do things, I suggest trying out what is suggested to you here, and then Determine what "Works Best For You", I have had so many good suggestions of methods and steps to use that I just picked and choosen what works for me. Try it on your next model, and it could be anything from Painting to How to Polish that bad boy to a great shine! It's how we learn .
  3. Very Cool, Great Job on that .
  4. A very cool color combination, I like it .

  9. Thanks for the comment . I didn't realize that the driving light were in the wrong place , but as I said I gave it away, so I cannot fix it now . Oh well if I decide to build another, I will use your suggestion. Thanks Blue Metallic would be an Excellent color for the Cuda , I will anticipate your finished Cuda. I too have had some problems painting but not many, thankfully there are allot of good people here with the best suggestions on the painting process, as I have progressed in learning to paint I believe you will too . Thanks for the comment .
  10. As of now I broke down and ordered this kit from Evil Bay, and at a very reasonable price on shipping. .
  11. Thanks Brett, and your tip for building it like you are getting paid by the hour for it really worked for me. I hope it will help others too.
  12. Looks great actually! Good job on that ! I am just wondering what happened to mine, I see that yours is sitting level, but for some reason the one I did has the front end sitting alittle high? and I can't figure that one out.
  13. Very Cool .
  14. I love that Challenger , and the Racer is very cool too.
  15. Thank you for your comments, it really means allot. Winter is about to set in, and unfortunately after Two models that I am doing IE namely U.S.S Enterprise Aircraft Carrier, and the Custom '49 Mercury , It will be my last set of models that I am doing until Winter is over. since I do not have the luxury of a Garage, or a paint booth to put inside the home. I very much appreciate all of the help and support I have gotten here. Thanks again guys.

  18. Alright! well it looks like I get to do another '69 Nova kit, I am also looking forward to the SuperBird. Sigh.... Are they ever going to come out with a '71 or '72 Buick Riv .

  20. Hello all, This is a project I just finished up and gave to my mother, who has always wanted a Purple Car . All of the Trim, Door Handles, Vents, Were BMF'd. For my second time using this Chrome BMF, It's not half Bad . I am Learning folks . Also I was trying to touch up some paint, and I had placed the Black Decal's that go on the side rear of the car Left and Right, and the Masking Tape ended up ripping it up, so I had to remove the Decals and I decided to put the Plymouth on the WindShield instead. My only complaint about this kit is the fact that the holes were not drilled for the Spoiler on the Trunk, I cut the tips off the bottom of the Spoiler and glued the Spoiler on from there. Model: Revell Muscle '71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Paint Color: Exterior - Plymouth Plum Crazy ( On a side note, I did see some one else here use this color awhile back when I first started out here on this forum, just letting all know that this color purple was the only one in Stock at HL, and I was not about to purchase Testor's purple color. So I am not trying to copy anyone's work). Model Masters Black, Testor's Blanch White, Amber Red. Interior- Model Masters Black, Testors Chrome Silver. Status Finished and Waxed. Next Project: U.S.S. Enterprise - Aircraft Carrier. 1/1200 Scale
