  1. Dave, that is outstanding. The cables to the starter are a nice touch. Considering the large size of the kit, it would almost be a shame not to detail. Fantastic work.
  2. That's weird. The W900 Aerodyne is the kit I want, but can't find. The others I have found and purchased. The trailer seems to be hit or miss. Sometimes it's the only 1/16 kit I see. Other times, I never see it anywhere. That red KW was everywhere. I admit, I haven't looked in nearly a year, though.
  3. I'll join in the the list also. Years ago I bought the Pete and trailer, but sold them because I thought, "You know, they are a bit large". I purchased one of the 1/16 trailer kits to study it, taking measurements, etc. to modify and update one or more of my 1/25 Fruehauf flatbeds. Of course, having it made me want to find the Peterbilt once again. I did. I plan to make a covered wagon out of it eventually. I have a question, though. Was the red W900 with the flattop sleeper more widely produced than the others? I can find it without even trying compared to the other 2 truck kits. I did snatch one up. Ray DeJesus
  4. I hope someday to find the W900 Aerodyne.
  5. This will be a cool project. I love the KW and Pete for their paintjobs. Good luck with your project.
  6. Eric, in the pic where you're showing the KW studio cab W900, in the background are a couple of early '60s KW conversions that I can see. Will you be offering those up?
  7. That is turning out nice. I love the paintjob.
  8. That's some nice work. Judging from the models in the background, there wasn't a modeling subject you haven't tried.
  9. It is a nice casting, Dave. One of these days I'll get mine finished.
  10. I have the following kits, and the instructions say to use these donors: Peterbilt 358 conversion: Any AMT Pete 359 kit 1/25 Peterbilt 379 ext hood: Made for the Revell of Germany 359, but can be adapted to the snap Pete or the Italeri 378. Kenworth W900L conversion: Revell of Germany KW W900 kits like the Austrailian KW or the recently re-popped KW W900. It says you can also use the K100 or T600 kits from Revell of Germany as well. I hope that helps.
  11. You've done some great work thus far. I like the scratchbuilt work.
  12. Lately I've been seeing lots of Ford WT9000s being built or scratchbuilt on the various forums. So here's one from the 1974 brochure. The same page is in the 1977 brochure.
  13. They were excellent quality kits. I have 3 of them. Nice castings. The originals were at kit thickness vs being the super-thick resin. Nice to see them coming back.
  14. You did a nice job on the weathering.
  15. The trailer you see in the pic is scrtachbuilt, so he wouldn't have laid the wood on top of anything but the frame he built. . However, if you plan to do this with the AMT Fruehauf flatbed, my first suggestion is to cut away the "wood" in the deck. Install crossmembers across the deck. These are the ribs on the bottom of the deck piece in the kit. Then you can replace it with the real wood by laying the wood on the crossmembers. Someone can probably explain it better than I can, but that's the basic idea. As to the models you posted in the pix, nice work.
  16. Outstanding work on the Prosleeper. I really like it. I'll definately be watching out for this one when it's released.
  17. Looking good Tim. Thanks for sharing about the paint. This high heat aluminum paint I guess is like an engine paint, or maybe meant for headers? Just so I know what to look for. I have a livestock trailer in the works and I like the way yours looks with this paint.
  18. Nicely done. Great job on the weathering.
  19. It's really starting to take shape. It Looks good.
