  1. This truck was completed in 1997, when I was 19 and in a diesel mechanics program, but I've moved around a few times since, so this truck has suffered. I haven't been modeling much since then. I take my kits with me in the truck, so my models actually rack up miles, LOL. . Of course, every time I get started, I have to box the kit back up. I just never sat still long enough. So wish me luck.I hope to have it rebuilt before Christmas. This was definately my favorite model, as I was able to put all I had learned at the time into the truck. And I had plenty of late 60's and early 70's truck to study while I did it. Well, that and I love Autocars. This is the Autocar Dump Truck chassis, which was built to pull AMT's peerless log trailer. It had a Black cab with the kit stripes. I'm keeping the color scheme, and I'm converting it into a dump tractor as I go. A tri-axle Fruehauf is going behind it. Feel free to leave comments or suggestions. Thanks for looking, and good luck on all your projects. Being part of a forum is new to me, but this should make it more enjoyable.
