As far as which Cummins, it will be the inline 6 cylinder NTC-400. Thanks for the helpful info on what materials you used. It gives me an idea of what direction to take. As far as easier, I think there will be some challenges. The lower right side of the block has that curve, so getting that to look right might be a challenge. As far as a transmission, I would like to convert it to a 13 spd. I did finally score a tractor kit. It's the red KW. All I had for a long time was the trailer kit. The ideas are floating around, now to put them to put them to paper like I always do b4 building. Good luck with yours. Hopefully, I will start on this engine soon.

Dave, your engine has inspired me to go forward with my 1/16 scale Cummins engine. This project has been on my mind for years. My main question is what size sheet plastic are you using for the construction? Also, were the turbos hard to scratchbuild? I commend you on scratchbuilding everything. Until I clicked on your link, I first thought you would use the fairly universal parts such as the air compressor, starter, alternator, possibly the turbo with modifications. You scartchbuilt it all from what I could see. Truly amazing work. Are you going to scrathbuild a transmission for it as well? anyway, watching this build has been fun. I love it.

Here's one for the Detroit fans. It's a 12V71 in an early 1970s KW W925 daycab.I found this beast at the ATHS 2008 convention. I'm not sure if it's an extended hood or not though. Yeah, I bought the old Ertl kit through the mail without knowing any better. What comes in the box is a DM-600 with a small sleeper. An accurate kit would have been an R model Mack with a big sleeper. When it arrived in the mail, I was so disappointed, I built it totally diferent from the box. I laugh at how much people pay for this kit on ebay considering its inaccuracy.

I have here some line drawings for Kenworth K100s. There is a blank can, as well as the "Salem"(think BJ and the Bear) and "Lexington" paint schemes. The "Salem" stripes can be obtained through JBOT. Blank Salem Lexington

It would be great if there were more 1/16 scale aftermarket parts. I know engines have been made, but I can never find them. Of course, they were from many years ago. Your engine is really turning out nice.

Very nice. Although we're limited to 3 tractors and a flatbed trailer in 1/16, it's nice to see all the creative ideas that have come from these kits and the variations. Nice job.
