  1. Does DC know you are swapping the engine? Looking very good Pete.
  2. 1/43 resin Provence Moulage kit. I changed the mirrors and wheels/tires using parts box spares and made a couple decals. Other than that it is another out-ofthe-box build.
  3. I think it is a true 1/64th scale.
  4. Little (and I mean tiny) Revell Bug modified to accept new wheels & tires, custom decals
  5. The side lower body panels are done enough for the time being… The left side needs a separate piece to allow for the header to pass through.
  6. Thanks Mike. They are all the same.
  7. Thanks guys. The wheels and tires are done (except for the brand labels, wheel weights and center caps).
  8. Whether the examples are or are not art is subjective. What may be more important is if the box art works, i.e. sells the product well. In addition, I'd argue most any Jack Lynnwood box art is also "real" art.
  9. "2002 Jim Keeler – Industry Insider"
  10. The sides will get vents to compensate for not having the louvers in the hood.
  11. Randy Derr is in there, he was inducted at the same time I was, and I must say, that was icing on the cake to be inducted along side with him. The last round of inductees was in 2012, so the site is just not quite up to date at this time.
  12. Yeah, it does appear that they need to update the GSL HOF part of the site to reflect some of the recent inductees...
  13. Thanks guys! These are the beginnings of the lower side body panels. Just a little cut, bent and soldered brass…
  14. Nice grungework.
  15. The wheels are almost done now that they are riveted together. Each one is made up of 23 individual parts. The outer rims are Mazda Tungsten Gray and the centers are a custom mixed dark gunmetal with a cast texture. They still need the brand labeling. Center caps will be made later.
  16. Thanks Pete, your thinking is right along with what I was envisioning. Something from the '60s-'70s F1 era for the front wing. Not sure if it will be integral to the nose, or "plugged on" though. But I'm not so sure a full front F1 style wing might be a it much for this one too. It'll tell me what it needs in due time...
  17. I made some minor modifications to the inner fender panels to allow a little more elbow room for the brake lines that will be added to the calipers later and installed the metal mounting boss. I test mounted the front fenders to the suspension on the car to make sure there is enough clearance for the steering, and to verify it all could be bolted together. It passed… I think it is fair to say the majority of the bodywork has been fabricated at this point, but there is plenty more to make too. I think it needs the front spoiler and side bodywork to flow a little better. But then again it is Seven based so a little ungainly is not uncommon…
  18. Shoulda killed off Cleveland before the Brian, both on the show and the spin off. I think the only (or real) reason it is a sore point for me that they killed off Brian is my affinity for dogs.
  19. It's almost a surprise they didn't off Meg.
  20. Yeah, because we know they can't say anything that isn't true on the internet.
  21. That is one character I wish they had not killed off.
  22. Here are the fenders I wanted to build for it... The front fenders will be the cycle style. I started by machining a circular blank the correct diameter and with the outer lip radius, and then I cast a couple copies of it in resin. The inner fenders with supports and mounting points were made from sheet styrene. After I cut sections of the circular blanks out for each fender and attached them to the inner sections, I bonded the two assemblies together then shaped them as one uniform piece.
  23. Actually that's Bill Engvall that does the "Here's your sign" gig.
  24. Never had the desire as a kid, although I knew some kids that would build firecrackers into ship models then blow them up in the pool. But... there was this one Charlie's Angels van that we had laying around... It was unpainted and not worth trying to unbuild and save as we had several of them in kit form. I took it out to the back road and placed it about two feet in front of the rear tire of my Camaro. Got a good brake stand going and ran it over. The biggest piece of pink left was not even an inch long. I don't think even an M80 would have pulverized it as well. And I still remember how good that felt for some reason.
  25. I just work on them until they are done. I think what you were really asking might be how do I not get bored with them? Since there's no kit or instructions to follow, and so many parts to make, I just work on the parts I want to, when I want to most of time. Plus I have other smaller projects that get worked on during the building of the larger ones.
