I picked this kit up yesterday at a flea market and can't seem to find alot of info online about it.I was wondering if anyone here might be able to give me some info on it(price,rarity,ect...).It is still factory sealed, but if it isn't very rare I kinda want to build this one just like the box art version.

Something you don't see every day

Kinda reminds me of the old saying "just because you can do something, don't mean you should" -
Another vintage Kenworth cabover
Mack_Mechanic replied to BigBad's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Looks like your off to a great start!I have a soft spot for the old cabovers,I'm a truck mechanic and started my wrenching career on Freightliner cabovers with big cam 400s. -
Yet another Chi-Town Hustler
Mack_Mechanic replied to Mack_Mechanic's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
They were pretty easy to do,I took some craft string I found at Wally World and wrapped it with electrical tape and painted it silver. After I took the pics I did a set wrapped with Tamiya masking tape instead of electrical tape and I think they looked even better. -
Very clean and sharp!I'm diggin the paint job, what shade of green is it?

Hi everyone. After a 6 yr haitus from modeling and being a drag racing fan I thought my first drag model should be the excellent Chi-Town Hustler kit from Revell. It is a pretty simple build to get my sea legs under me again, box stock except for plug wires, chute release cables and chute anchor lines. As for paint I went for the red of the origional CTH from reference pics I have seen instead of the candy apple red of the re-creation.Its not show quality but I have built worse .

Hi all, after a 6 yr hiatus from modeling I am now back in the saddle. So I figured for my first build I would do a simple Camaro. It has been a pain trying to re-learn the techniques it takes to build a nice model. That being said I made several mistakes with this build, but it has helped jog my memory and alot of stuff has come back to me.The biggest hurdle is finding my old supplies(lost air brush,BMF,ect...).Anyway enough blabbering, here she is.Pretty much a box stock build with the addition of plug wires.

Hi all,I have been collecting truck reference material from the web and from people here. The other day at work (Im a diesel mechanic) I was looking through our online repair manuals and d/l some stuff that I think would come in handy for all the detail freaks out there.I have put all the stuff I have in one zip file.It is kinda large (32 megs I believe).Anyway if anyone is interested I will upload it and put a link up.There are so many people here that have helped me out,I would like to return the favor.

Hey guys,I was wondering if anyone here knows where I can find some reference pictures of a Detroit 8v71?I have tried a Google image search and didn't find any close up pictures.I am a truck mechanic but don't work on anything that old.If anyone needs any reference materials on newer engines (Cummins ISX,Mack Asset,60 series Detroit)let me know. Also the fleet I work on has Mack CH series and International 9900i's if anyone needs chassis pics,Thanks.

Thanks for the link George,I went there and didn't see anything of help. If any one else has any ideas please let me know. This build is for a friend so I want it to be accurate.

Hi guys,I am getting ready to start building a Bob Glidden Mustang II pro stocker and was wondering if anyone has any reference pics for this car?I have spent hours online and have come up empty handed. Also what would be a good kit to get a nice engine?I am using the AMT Firefighter kit for a base, but the engine is wrong I believe.Being a circle track guy I am kinda lost on this subject,LOL.Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Hi all,I have been away from modeling for awhile doing something I really love, dirt track racing real race cars. But as fuel prices continue to rise I have come to terms that I can not afford to race (thanks big oil companies). So here I am back doing my other love.I was smart enough not to sell all my kits and building supplies. Here is my first build back.A quick two day build I did with my 6 year old son.Boy it feels great to be back!
