  1. Well,,I tell ya,,,I live on the west side of MTR CTY,,and theres PLENTY of old industrial sites around here,,,River Rouge Ford plant is a good one for the look you may want,,maybe look on the web for pics of it,,and Greenfield Village,{Henry Fords personal museaum he built} has some cool stuff to consider,,and the Chrysler Hammtramick plant is pretty old school looking as well,,Im sure theres pics on the web of these, and others.
  2. Wow,,Im speechless! love it!
  3. Thanks guys,,yea its fun to just get out the dremmel tool,,a pot of coffee,,and a good motorsport show on TV and have at it!Thanks for the kind words.
  4. Wow,,do you have any posts where you show how you do that? or maybe somewhere here to learn that skill? Id like to check it out.
  5. Great work,,,just wondering how you got the radius's at the back of the frame tubes? Look forward to seeing it as it comes along.
  6. Hi all,,not sure why I built this,,maybe because the winters here in MTR CTY are long and cold! lol Its a kit-bash,,I thought what it would be like to put the driver in the bed of the truck,,and the mtr in the passenger area. Chevy 409 mtr/671 GMC blower,,shortened rear end,,cut off the top to give open air for mtr,,used a engine cover from a Dodge 300 van doghouse cover for dash platform. Lots of leftover parts from the "leftover parts box",,gauges, roll bar,,tires,,mags,,ect. Wonder what it would be like to drive this thing?
  7. The only thing missing is the key to turn the ignition and start it up!! lol it looks that real!
  8. Fantastic!! Is that Grand Sport Vette style intake setup? It looks similar to one,,I used to watch these,,and all the trans-am cars of the late 60's-70's race at MIS{Michigan International Speedway} when I was a kid. Love these ols trans -am style cars,,great job!
  9. Beauty! Where in the world did you get this? its hard to find these type kits in the states. E-bay?
  10. Wow!! Love these trike kits. I remember in the 70's,,I got a 1/16th kit called "The Draggin Wagon" and lost it yrs ago,,,not sure where it went,,but Ive always been on the lookout for it since.Look forward to seeing what you come up with.
  11. Wow,,thanks guys,,,Im seeing alot of really great builds on this site here,{not so much mine}but man ,,love to see so many still into building models in general,,I couldnt live without it! I dont always have alot of time to do it,but when I do,,I enjoy every minute. All the best to ya in 2012!
  12. Great news!! Thanks for the update,,the 1/16th kits are my fav. I have quite a few in my collection,,and look forward to seeing what may be released soon,,,Thanks again
  13. Man,,Thats really something,,,what made you think of this design? Really cool stuff.
  14. Wow,,very nice indeed!
  15. Hi all,,heres a true basket case,,started out as a freebie at a NNL show,,1/4 assembled,,no tires/wheels..crappy paint lob,no mtr. So I hand built the chassis,,roll bar,,mtr out of the leftover part bx. shortened the rearend, added drag slicks,,ect. Hand made wheelie bars, parachute in back,,made new glass for it. And used leftover decals from various sheets. It had 4 coats of paint on it,,had to hit it with 10 cycles of eazy-off oven cleaner to get it down to bare plastic. Its a AMT ERTL kit I believe,,Cheers!
  16. Wow,,,love it. Where did you get the decals?
  17. Man thats really something,,beautiful
  18. Amazing!! Love the colors.
  19. Nice job there,,Id go with the hemi orange on the block,,and flat black valve covers,,frame w/gloss black, and then follow the original paint from there,,but that just me.
  20. Greetings fellow modelers. Just thought Id stop in to say hello. This is a 1/25 Funny car kit I did recently,,Mr Norms Charger,,,fun kit to build,,had to tweak frame a bit to get things to line up,,but other than that it went ok. I look forward to seeing other builds that others have done here,,,Cheers!
