A shame that happened to such a nicely built model.
-
So at the beginning I thought you meant paint all the plastic aluminum...but this is much better
-
SHINY. :)
-
I was already mad enough hearing about it, then it was your dad? I'm very sorry to hear that
Best of luck to ya, you'll be in my prayers.
-
That looks even better than clear plastic ones! Thanks!!
-
Thanks guys

Early bed time man, early bed time...
Although I am guilty of sometimes building at midnight.
-
I've actually done a lot since my last update...
...I painted it!
It WAS going to stay gray primer, but then I decided it looked a little silly on the car so I painted it. It'll have some sponsor decals (yes, 1962 circa decals )
So there it is! Not a whole lot farther to go.

What's wrong with weird and crazy?
He'd fit in with the rest of us then I guess

Just don't ask for the nitrous (that's what makes you act drunk). It's supposed to calm you, but for me in my experiences it made me even more hectic. Good luck! I have to get mine removed soon too.

I would use Acrylic enamel latex thinner. Found at your nearest hardware store!
-
Does say what type of paint is it?, enamel?, acrylic?
Enamel Acrylic Latex.
Three different paints blended together.
Make the madness stop!
-
Awesome is all I have to say.
I also like that you added charging posts, a commonly skipped detail on drag cars.
-
Yup, It's already stripped, I just haven't really had the time to paint it.
-
I never want to finish any of my models.
-
Thanks all
Liam, I'm afraid I screwed the paint up on the rear cowl too. I swear, the rear cowl on that car is cursed
-
Thanks everyone, I appreciate it
-
Thanks
What all kind of stuff would I get? (Particularly the Testors products they mention)

ok, seems like the email was legit.
The reason I said you should make sure the message was really from Revell is that just yesterday my daughter got a message saying that she was "wanted" for failing to appear for jury duty. She was pretty freaked out and called me and told me about it. There was a number she was supposed to call to find out what she had to do. Turns out the whole thing was somebody's idea of a "joke" (har de har har... ).
But apparently you really did win, so all I can say is way to go, Andy!
Yeah, the email address it was sent from was a @revell.com address,so that makes it more believable.
And thanks for the comments!

Thanks all
Ray, I won't meet Stacey David, but all the winners' models will be on the Gearz show.
-
Thanks guys
Here she is!

I actually got quite a bit of building in (as in finishing a model) due to staying inside. Heat index today was 113, high humidity..
