  1. Even if it couldn't run, I imagine that it could still turn if you just turned the crank?
  2. The only problem I see with the cam is how fast it would wear. I'd say if it was strong enough and had pretty light valve springs, it would hold up. The connecting rods? Eh, they could be made somewhat strong. One problem I see is that you wouldn't be able to ground the block for spark plugs. The distributor would be a different story too... But hey, it can't hurt to try though! Maybe I could throw a plastic rod out of the block
  3. Think this would be possible? I understand the cylinders wouldn't hold up, but some metal sleeves could be put in there. What are your thoughts on this? It depends, I might just try this Seriously.
  4. I agree Not into imports at all, but I'll be watching this one.
  5. Thanks for using that picture as an example!!!!!
  6. I agree with Romell, this is a forum for discussing models, not signatures....
  7. I think they're from the Revell Chi Town Hustler funny car.
  8. That paint looks like it was made for your car.
  9. I hope you guys can see this, my Facebook is set to private... http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.164780973600972.43578.100002072105726&type=1
  10. I heard to use normal ENAMEL glass black as an undercoat.
  11. Sorry about that Ron. Yup, they had the Slingshots are over one the west side. There were booths for Moroso, Holley, and plenty others I can't remember. I did get to see a cut open torque converter-I had some trouble figuring them out but not any more And I saw a 57 Chevy gasser that I saw when we were heading out. But since that was as soon as the crash happened, we were in too big of a hurry to get pictures.
  12. Okay, thank you!
  13. There were all kinds of things. MSD, Mac, and Ford and Harley Davidson had the best displays there. I'm dreading uploading pictures. Our connection is terrible, and they're getting uploaded to Facebook before Photobucket because Photobucket uploads sooooooooooo slow.
  14. Yup, I saw the Hemi Shootout. Those cars are just awesome
  15. Also forgot to say this. On the last T/F pass, Del Worsham grenaded his engine, and put oil on the track. The last run of the night was two jet dragsters. It was going real good, then the spot where Del dropped his motor, the right lane dragster spun out, hit the left wall, and flipped, and landed HARD. It seriously didn't look good for that guy, AT ALL, but from what I've heard he's in the hospital being evaluated.
  16. Aaron, any chances of getting more pictures of that last Front Engine Dragster? I'll be building one like it soon and I need some ideas for the frame. Thanks!!
  17. This was awesome! Didn't take as many pictures as I would've liked though. I figured I had 30 pics and a few videos. But I'll tell you, when the funny cars and top fuelers go past, that rumble feels awesome. Once in the pits we watched them fire up the engines. All of a sudden my eyes were watering, and I couldn't breath. Then I figured out why they wear the gas masks LOL. We also stopped by Don Schumacher's garage. Tony was there, but he took off before we could talk to him BUT I got to talk to Roland Leong! I told him about the Hawaiian I was building. It was awesome, I even got my picture taken with him! Then they had a booth there where you could get inside a fake dragster and get your picture taken. After that, they had a working tree you could test your reaction times on. First one was .430 (very bad..) and the second one was .160 (Okay, could have been .160 better LOL). They had a wall of Don's and Tony's Wallys. There had to have been AT LEAST 50. Probably closer to 75. Even though it was like 9 million degrees yesterday, it was one of the coolest experiences in my life that I'll definitely never forget.
  18. Thanks for that link!!!! Heck, that's not really any more expensive than normal model paint...
  19. Thanks. Guess I won't be using that, can't afford an airbrush...
  20. I dig that Chevette.
  21. I'm getting my memory cards cleaned up, and my camera batteries charged!!! Can't wait! :D
  22. Not sure. I think people will know what you're talking about though... Richard, nice to finally see some of your work. Nice work, that is.
  23. Nice builds!!!! Wayne, what paint did you use on that Lil Red Wagon? I'll probably be building one soon.
  24. LOL Thanks Harry, never would've noticed that if it wasn't for you.
