Hmmm...Something made it look like paper to me.

I used primer under it. Then I completely screwed it up, so I stripped it. Then when I repainted the hood, I used no primer and it came out glass smooth. Then when I repainted the body without primer, It was okay but has fisheyes in it. Maybe there was still paint stripper underneath? I have a funny feeling my Fairlane will never get finished

Ah, missed this one. As soon as I saw it..I knew it was a model because I can tell it has a paper background.

Just about my only finished drag racer worthy of posting... Yeah, I know the front bumper is missing. I need to get some paint and finish it. I'd like to pull the engine out and detail it more. I'm just afraid of tearing everything else up...

I started when I was about 7. Built the AMT 71 Charger. What a glue bomb! Much of my inspiration comes from Romell, Tyrone Price, Wayne Stevens Jr., Brett, and Rob (Thumper86). As most of you know, I'm real big into drag racing. Even though I don't build as much as I used to, I'm getting more into the detailing part of it. I also forgot to mention something. My dad built a bunch of models when he was a kid. Before I was born, he built the AMT USA 1 monster truck. Yup, I ended up breaking that. Maybe for his birthday I should build him one eh? So, thanks to all that have inspired me, and all the admins and mods of the forum!!!

I prefer clear RTV Silicone. If it gets on the glass, it can be wiped off.

Thanks Nick I'm using a spray can. I'm too cheap for an airbrush. I've heard of warming the can first...never done it though. I'll have to try it!

A year ago I could paint just fine. Now, my can always seems to run out, and my paint is bad. My first guess is I'm putting it on too thick? This is SERIOUSLY starting to get on my nerves.

You must have '71 Marker Lights on it then... Can't remember if mine has 4.09 or 4.11 gears. I'm thinking it's 4.09.
