  6. I like the muffler in the car, looks too good to hide under the car...
  7. It can be mounted in the frame also I think that is where the stock 40 master cylinder is on the real car.
  8. i like the idea of the 34 kit chassic too . the wheels and tires would look right at home there, youi get the qucik change rear, but might have to work on the roll cage. I think your off to the.... races.......that was bad...
  9. Id use the 40 chassic, it would be correct for what your building. Just a thought.... I too enjoy building old dirt cars. its looking good!!! http://public.fotki.com/lannyhaas/saturday_nite_racing/
  10. Jim do you cover seats with a fabric, or something to get the rips and tears? I'm building a 56 ford sitting in a dry river bed, and cant get the seats to look like they should.....
  11. as Alway Jim you amaze me with your creativity!!!....Well keep on eye on this one. This is just me, but I think you need to lose the muffler. maybe have it laying next to the car under a tree..
  12. John, how did yo get the engine turned look on your firewall? is that a decal?.....great work, by the way as always....im inspired to build better models from watching what you do...look forward to seeing you at the next cactus modlers contest. hope your coming over for it. Model on Man!!
  13. anybody seen my chin? I think Its on the floor somewhere.
  14. those kind of builds are a kick to do. A nice break from the shine and polish. you have to watch real close that you dont go to far. Knowing when to stop with the aging is the hard part. your looking good here with the mustang. I dont like to use heat for dents. I grind the inside of the body to thin the plastic that create the dent. you can also grind in small dents fro the outside. Keep it up looking forward to the finished product

  20. Looking great Doc.Just built one of these now getting the itch to build another one.... just a question, shouldn't the rear window trim be black like old worn black rubber, that truns your finger black when you touch it??? just asking...
  21. used to love watching these things run at manzy,. some looked like steet rods, so decided to build one in model form. decals and number are from the extra decal box. here they are in action. used an old T-Bucket body that theses cars used, and scratch built a chassic and picked thru and old Grant King sprint car kit for some goodies. they were uphlostered inside.
  22. looks great. love the colors, real like the weathered frame, and the motor.. only thing I can see, is your foil on the side chrome is to wide. the the top raised area is body color. the lower "rib" is the chrome strip. it just make the foiling that much more un fun...
