I have been told that there will be a model car contest in the Phoenix area sometime in February. As I am going to be there at that time I'm interested in participating. Does anybody have information about this show?? I have not been able to find anything about it. I also intend to come from Utah for the Desert Scale Classic in April.

1. A stock body 48 Ford Coupe compatible with the Revell chopped coupe. 2. A stock body 48 Ford 2-door sedan compatible with the 48 Ford convertible. 3. A stock body Model A coupe compatible with any of the roadster or cabrolet bodies. 4. A stock body 1956 Dodge Coronet 2-door. 5. A stock body 1969 Dodge Polara.

Sounds like your wife reacted like mine did the first time she heard me refer to her as She Who Must Be Obeyed. Seeing as we are still married and working on 54 years she must have seen the humor in it after all.

Kevin: I'm pretty well set for that type of light bar. What I'm looking for is the type of lights that would have been used in the 30s-40s-50s. I appreciate the offer though. Jeff: I think you hit the jackpot for me. I see a Remington 870 in his list of products. Thanks, I'll give him a try.

Miles: Appreciate the information, but a double barrel is not going to work for me. I need one that resembles the 870 as it is going in a modern Mustang patrol car and I need accuracy for the judges. Thanks anyway.

I have been searching for 1/24 or 1/25 castings of a police shotgun and castings of mid twentith century emergency lighting without any success. Do any of you know of a source got this type of thing?

Just received my latest order from HobbyLinc yesterday. Two sets of rims and tires; 9 days from order to delivery via UPS Ground. I'm happy with them.

Back in 1962 I became a city police officer. My first assigned unit was a 62 Dart. It was as ugly as they get, BUT, what a great road car. It was quick, stable, really maneuverable and above all comfortable.

I have to agree, that is one butt ugly car, BUT, you did a great job with it.

Wayne: I know the feeling. Spent over 30 years chasing the bad guys and had to have my left knee replaced last year courtesy of riding a Harley 74 back in the years when I thought I would live forever. Good luck with your knee. A knee replacement is worth the hassle though. Again, good luck.

I agree that you should plan for retirement. It does not do much good to stockpile disposables such as paint and glue though; too many things can go wrong with them over the years. Not going to do you much good to open a bottle or tube of glue just to find you have a gummy mess or it is completely dried out. The same goes for paint. Tools and such are another matter. Accumulate what you think you will want/need while you can afford it. At the same time, keep your eyes open for things you can use that don't cost much if anything. The next time you go to the dentist ask if he or she has any used dental picks. The last time I asked my dentist I walked out with about fifty of them. There are many thing like that available if you just keep your eyes open.
