It is offically "Dale Earnhardt" Day! you can get Dale Earnhardt Day gear at Dale Earnhardt inc website! wow the memory i have i never met him but i do know the guy that use to fly the rcr crew back and forth! i bet everyone that you all could tell me the last lap crash that took his life straight from the top of your head like its second nature? im not even going to type it up... im afraid it might take the whole staff' here at mcm! quiz: guess the song that i just typed!
  2. I live on the other side of the river down here in southeastern ohio and i used to be able to sleep right through one but with reading all these replies i guess not anymore! stasch - i know they stink i used to live in a really small town (so small we can walk about 5 minutes any way and be out of town!) the town is called "Manteo North Carolina!" and my father just quit his job out there at the airport where he worked and we had just moved out and within a couple days cant think of which hurricane but one just came up the coast and later when i talked with my auto teck teacher he said he was just out there and matter afact around the corner where we used to live and told me the place was leveled! you could see for miles and where we used to live is "GONE"!
  3. Yes today is the birthday of the late but great "Dale Earnhardt Sr." and i would like to honor him today with asking you guys/galz to please post storys, pics and anything else (even models kits) and memorys you have of one of the greatest nascar cup drivers ever to run @ 200 mph. again Happy Birthday Dale!
  4. COME ON SPILL THE BEANS ALREADY! Your going to make us all "CRANK HEADS!"
  5. i would if i needed to strip chrome which reminds me! use a product called "wesleys bleche white" ... i think thats how its spelled! ... you can find it in any auto parts store i know advanced auto has it in stock here in town! and the great thing is once your done with it dont throw it away use ...get ready... mmmm "PANTYHOSE" you hold the hose over the bottle and use it as a filter to filter out the chrome and junk that you stripped off you parts and then you can reuse it over and over as many times as you like ... talk about recycleing! ... sure it might be 5 or so dollars a bottle but hey the stuff almost last several years i think before you have to start looking at replaceing it!
  6. Hey Doc! you could invite me to be the "future" banjo picker!

MY favorite truck of all time (matter afact this is how i dream of mine looking like) lets see here anything yenko, sc/rambler, 68-72/4'sh novas,70 challenger ta/rt/hemi, 70/71 cuda aar/hemi etc... , 69 charger rt/hemi/general lee hot rods of all kinds whether rat or show. anything that has either historical significance! or is just plain "NEAT!" 10. also i want to mentions something here im trying to think of his name but he had that really tricked out tuner in tokyo drift not the evo but the yellow and black one where they have to escape the evil half or something well that car gets wrecked with him in it and explodes but isnt that guy suppose to be dead but he comes back in number 4?????? ill think of his name eventually! oh that happens right before they take possesion of the mustang!
  11. that is a real nice kit to build just one word of caution actually more like a tip to make it easier for you! along the hood where you glue the scoop on you may just want to hit that with whatever color your going to use first cause once you glue the scope on there it gets or at least got for me a little difficult to get paint up under neath there so again just think of this but other than that it is probably one of the best kit ive ever seen! which reminds me i have to finsh the paintwork on mine and get the decals on and maybe throw a coat of clear on and ill be done with mine! also if you happen to like me loose the hoodscoop look in the 70 aar cuda kit cause it may have one there that is not used hint thats what i had to do!
  12. i know that hes at least second to the king richard petty! but the other driver you say is even better would that be cale yarbrough? PLEASE DONT TELL ME "JEFF GORDON"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  13. wow when that first riff hit chills just went up my spine! i and im sure of most everyone that watched that final race remembers it like yesterday! it sounds like to me it might be a guy named "Tim Wilson"!
  14. sounds cool! i wonder how many $50 models we will se built now that brings up a question: is the united states dollar or is that pound dollar or what???????????? and what about the engine can we claim it was a junkyard rescue and swap engines in the desired kit or what? sorry to sound so bad but im just trying to make sure i understand it clearly! if we can come up with an engine swap and what not and it still meets the requirements than im going to build a 68-72 nova! and i already have a name for the project but i need to get one of those copo novas to do so!
  15. Hey guys just to let you know that this is not a "dead thread" i just havent gotten around to working on it much due to "general life" issues! ill get back on it soon though!

  22. i may jump in here if its a no time line cbp! i plan "actually partially started" custom pumper truck using a pumper body from the alf pumper kit, if i can get the right parts! i will also use the louisville shorthauler chassies! the wheels will also come from the pumper kit the body is a resin griffen international harvestor 8100 series conversion kit (long oop from sts model trucks) and im hoping to get the parts needed such as mirrors and glass and etc from a 4300 amt kit! now i have to wait for the next time my stepmother comes up to bring me the resin conversion! i actually got some progress so far if i can find the pics in my photobucket!
  23. sorry for the extra post but it came up "you posted more pics than allowed" maybe someone can help me out with it hint im kinda newb here at this site! wheels
