Terrific model! Time well spent.

Scott, your Jack Werst and Jerry Stein cars are absolutely terrific! Made me a bit wistful though. Jerry is a good friend of mine and he helped me quite a bit when I was a beginning Stock Eliminator racer. Super good guy! I got to meet Jack Werst at E-Town while I was the announcer from 2000 till closing. He was a great interview telling all sorts of great stories about his own history and the great cars and characters of Division One!
I certainly miss R P and all of the great people that I met during my tenure there.

Very nice! I saw a 1:1 Charger convertible at Carlisle this past summer. It seemed like Chrysler missed the boat by not making these.

Incredibly nice build, I really like that you worked with different tones and gloss in addition to the detailing. It is an AMT ?
Thank you. I'm pretty sure that it AMT . I got the body from a model car junk yard

I like it!
In the sixties and seventies there was a fellow from California that ran one of those. His name was Ed Sigmund and the car was called Snarpeezel! How do I remember this stuff?

One of my least favorite kits, but you made it look fantastic!

I've been building model cars for over 60 years and I can't come even close to painting like that! Awesome! ( maybe in another 60)

As modelers, we try to capture realism in our builds. You definitely accomplished that!

Thanks everyone for taking a look and commenting!

There actually was an altered wheelbase car from Portland OR called The Gunfighter,
It was my inspiration for this build.

Sharp looking dragster!

This was my NHRA Stock Eliminator car. I owned it from 1977 until just this February. It was a real A12 440 6bbl car. Ran one season with a HEMI (too expensive). The model is what I imagined it would have looked like brand new. I do have plans to build the race car version as well.

Super clean and well done! The effort that you put in is evident!

Thanks to everyone that replied! This was one of those rare (for me) builds that just seemed to build itself. Everything fit together perfectly. It was actually ...dare I say...fun!

WOW this is a perfect kit bashing project. It has me inspired to use chassis under an early corvette body. MPC kitted this chassis with a mid 70’s corvette body, and called it the vette gasser
I'd like to do something like this

Clean build! Would look right at home at any dragstrip in the U.S.

I really like this one! Brings me back to 1968!

That kit has always been a tough one to make look realistic. However, you pulled it off!
The upgraded engine compartment is a major improvement.
