  1. Thanks guys, it is nice to know i am not alone on this. joe.
  2. Trying to finish a 1/12 Harley Low Rider. Should have gone for awalk instead! Tried to fix rear wheel track ended up pulling rear wheel off. Pulled the disk off put on other side reinstalled not much better. Pulled rear fender because i thought was throwing it off. It probably was but i clipped ghe pins on the wrong side. It is still off a bit. Went to the front fork. Gott the brake lines done pretty well ** decided to keep going. Front bars would not fix so i cut mounts to fit. Thought maybe i should check instructions in case i was proceeding out of order. Yep front light and visor thing goes on first. Guess why handle bar mounts are so high??? Yep, they ride high to clear visor thingy. Super glued light to visor then hit with accelerator CAUSE I COULD NOT WAIT TO SCREW UP SOME MORE PARTS! I put some CA on the little pins that mount the visor and for some reason the accelertor kick them too. Ended only getting one pin in the other hung up half way and made the whole thin crooked. Cut it off. Tomorrow i drill out the pins. Drill and add pins to visor. Drill and add full size pins to handle bars. Good luck there!! ** THIS LITTLE SUCCESS WAS COURTESY OF THE MODELLING GODDESS? SHE KNEW WITHOUT I WOULD LEAVE EVERYTHING AND TAKE A WALK! joe (it is raining, no walk)
  3. Right. The only carbon fiber parts i could find for it were aftermarket. regards, joe.
  4. You did a great job on that one. Aoshima has several boxings of that kit, i think. Which one did you use??? thanks, Joe.
  5. Thanks guys so muc!!! I am a happy modeler! Now to find a killer set of Cragar or Torqueflite 5 spokes and i should be all set. Best regards and happy Saturday. joe.
  6. a COPO with bucket seats, a Yenko with bucket seats and without decals or a Nova SS with an unauthorized engine??? joe.
  7. My enthusiasm for this kit died when SMS abandoned plans to do a detail set. I would still kill for a detailed kit of the GT40. I remember questioning the price then but i never did when the Enzo came out.
  8. Thanks Ace-Garageguy, I have the one at the top, the '30 - '31. joe.
  9. From what i have read, it is a small block chevy....
  10. I have the Monogram "Ford Woody Street Rod". Does anyone know what year Ford this was? thanks, joe.
  11. the only suspect view of this car is with the doors open. it has a very odd shape to the cabin opening. the rear is very busy, too. other than those two views this baby looks good all around. joe.
  12. Thanks so much Steve. I need tospend some quality time with that catalog. Joe.
  13. I like it very much. What paint and what color is the interior???? Joe.
  14. Man I was going to be all over you for such a "stupid" statement, but another couple of minutes looking at it and I agree. I would not have thought it possible. It looks a bit to be the offspring of the Enzo and F50. So it is la bambina. Just beautiful. Joe.
  15. That is a great idea. I think it is his W8 wheel set but maybe there is more. joe.
  16. Thanks Chuck, i too found this valuable. joe.
  17. Can anyone tell me what R & M parts are available for the Tweedy Pie? I am a real fan of the stuff Norm does. The Tweedy Pie is up next for me. thanks and sorry to resurrect an old thread. joe.
  18. Absolutely on that. 1/12 would be nice, too. joe.
  19. BTW, wasn't that originally a MOPAR color????I would like to use it for my '71 cuda convertible. joe.
  20. A model kit is a 1000 or more compromises. They result from material properties, casting limitations, design limitations and errors in all of these, not to mention a limit on the funds to create the master based on an expectation of sales. then there is all the stuff i forgot to mention..... joe.
  21. I still need to win the lottery to buy it, but i definitely would. Joe.
  22. I was 100% superglue for a short while. I have since returned to more of a balance. For all main structures, i use both ambroid liquid glue to soften the mating surfaces plus testors liquid. This creates an icredibly strong bond. Joe.
  23. Great color and finish. Joe.
