That is a great technique tip. Although I have worked with resin pieces for years as a plane builder, i never marked the piece, just eye balled it.
Thanks,
Joe.
I use Scalefinish paint whenever i can. It comes in 2 ounce bottles and i never come close to using half. I just noticed that for the 1/12 Shelby GT500 he sells the colors in 4 oz bottles!!! Am i going to need that much for 1/12???
Since i only paint factory colors, it means i have a ton of unused paint because i am not building more than one of each of my dream cars. Except Ferraris in which case i could by Corso Rossa by the Quart.
I would happily pass on my unused paint to others if the USPS would allow me to mail it.
Joe.
Located just west of Chicago is La Grange Hobby which is my LHS! Great people and good selection in trains, plastic and remote control and paint. The best part is the owner will special order anything available for you.
Joe.
Thanks Brett. If the Tricolore is not a decal option maybe there will be another version released with them. It looks like i will have to buy one and hold on to it to see!!!
Joe.
Thanks GeeBee.
HO there are pros and cos on wax. I use it to enhance the finish not protect it. Perhaps if i got that mirror finish i would not need it.
thanks guys,
Joe.
I just sprayed a test piece at about 12lbs and i got a rough finish. It wasn't until I got it real wet that smoothed out. Do ihave pressure wrong? Any other tips?
Thanks for any help,
Joe.
Great build. I applaud your effort to correct issues as they arise. Mom always said if you are going to take the time to do it, do it the best you can...
Joe.
Thanks Casey. I just mocked it up to see if i can get the chassis under it with the valance attaced and i can so your tip will work fine.
What chin spoiler? What part is missing?
