  1. I remember that post- all I can say is excellent work. looking forward to seeing more of your work. Jerry
  2. here's another thought for you--I just swapped the air ride on the Pete coe with a spring setup from the parts bin. Jerry
  3. as usual Tim,    WOW!!!! Jerry
  4. as far as I know, you could interchange most of these except- the mack suspension is strictly Mack only, the paystar has a good spring susp. except for the IH markings, and the A-car --that's the only kit I've seen the has that suspension. The rest--I don't see much of a problem. Jerry
  5. Tim, a suggestion--- maybe a hotshot??? just a thought.   Jerry
  6. september is the date I've heard. Jerry
  7. "borrowed" the v8 from a long departed DM800. I thought it looked better than the 6 banger. Jerry
  8. Dave, can't wait to see some updates. That monster is looking good so far. Jerry
  9. thanks guys. it's doubtful I'll have it done by the 4th. the stars, believe it or not, are the peel and stick painted white. the drum, on the other hand, was a pain to mask. trying to get the right distance-- :x :x . I did the best I could, however. hope ya'll enjoy the finished product. Jerry
  10. Dave, this is the Revell kit with the Sacramento Trucking decals. The reefer came from the Italeri 53' reefer with Texas Longhorn decals. The Watkins is some leftover stock I've had. (original instead of Gooche) Jerry
  11. pretty much box stock except changed tires to the old Goodyears, BMF, relocated taillites and added the reefer and Fruehauf mudfllaps. Jerry
  12. still have all the parts. I've got lots of parts from destroyed trucks, rebuilds, parts buys (e-bay) never know when you're gonna need a particular part. not to mention, I've been building on and off for the last 30+ years. Jerry
  13. here we go... the front tires are from the 1/16th Mustang  Jerry
  14. Scot, as far as detail, I haven't mastered that point yet, but color wise, I'm going with white w/blue fenders and the mixer parts is just a bit more complicated. (plus it's a surprise ) I should have more pics towards the weekend. Jerry
  15. got the paint on the cab & mixer, frame assembled, axles on, including air ride tag. I'm using the extra suspension that is in the paystar kit ( I believe for the dm800 mixer) instead of the standard air ride. will post pics later this week. Jerry
  16. yea, I know, these ain'tn watkins colors, but I don't work for watkins. thanks for lookin'. Jerry
  17. thanks for lookin' Jerry
  18. thanks Tim. Between your site and Hank's, there's a lot of insiration to be found. Jerry
  19. thanks guys. the biggest problem I had with this on is the awful cab seam. the original owner didn't do a good job on it, so I had to take it apart, sand, and putty it. I never have liked the way AMT designed it, but I like the kit. Once again, thanks for the comments. Jerry
  20. almost done.. was......... and now.... Jerry
  21. almost done..... was.... and now..... Jerry
  22. I can't complain tooo much--I just picked up this up-- 50 greenbacks plus shipping. Not too bad considering I was the ONLY bidder on this and I haven't seen it any any of my LHS. Jerry
