  1. Just a quick question, will the salt & water method work on a metal diecast. I have an Old Navy promotional die cast truck I would like to weather & put in a diorama. The model would be rusty, dented & left out behind an Old Navy store.
  2. As they say Stupid is as stupid does, and I am in this case. Would someone explain decanting paint. Much appreciated.
  3. Good morning, my first post, hope it helps. If any of you have a Marden's near you, you are in luck. They are a New England, mostly Maine, chain that sells bankruptcy, fire damaged etc. goods. Lately they have had a run of model car kits for sale, Revell, Lindbergh etc. I picked up 2 on Saturday, Roger Lindamoods Color Me Gone funny car and a 1953 Ford Indy 500 pace car. Now the good news, they are $5.49/each. Selection isn't bad, depends on which store you hit, but hey, can't beat the price. Home here in New Brunswick, the same models are selling at Micheal's in the $25.00-$35.00 range. Happy hunting.
  4. Very cool, thanks.
  5. I see in a number of photos a paint stand that looks like an old disc brake. The stand usually has holders that look lie paper clips for holding parts for painting. Is this something that can be ourchased or are they home made?

I am new to dioramas and after looking at some of the great ones here I have a question. What scale models do most people use. I am into 1/24 scale cars & am wondering if perhaps I should get into something smaller. Any suggestions???
