  3. This one looks fantastic to me. I would spend some time around it talking to the owner if it was a 1:! at a local car show. Love the colors, nice job on he paint.
  4. Nice work Ed and great pictures, thanks for sharing this again, I missed it the first time. Yes, a lot was packed into this one! Good o see you back like others have said.
  5. 10thumbs If someone posts up something they're proud of, find something nice to say about it, even if it's the biggest glue-bomb to date - that might be the best job they can muster up because maybe they can't see as well anymore, or maybe they've got early Parkinson's or only one usable hand... the point is they're doing something they enjoy and are sharing it with the world. It's OK to offer constructive criticism... just don't be mean about it, and it's all good. EXACTLY!!!!! Eric, I couldn't have said it better. Complements are Free after all, and if it makes someone feel good, why not be generous? Give more than expected!
  6. Looks great and yes the seats worked. What a great kit in my opinion. I built one just to practice BMF and there is plenty on this one.
  7. You know I like it by my avitar.
  8. Tucker? I don't remember this scene.
  9. Rob Mattis Tell me what you think of my work. Criticisms, comments and sarcastic remarks are kindly welcome. I'm a big boy, I can take it. My Photobucket I should do this too! Or another "me too er." I have been around long enough to handle criiticism, 2011 I think is when I joined. I was a looker for a while too shy to post, then I stepped up and it felt good to get noticed. I stumbled through learning how to post pictures and improve said pictures. I will be honest, the little bit of criticism I have received here has helped me improve plenty. I will admit I am a bit lazy sometimes when taking advise. For instance, I still do not include valve stems on my wheels, alternator brackets ( not always), BMF (I still hate it), no brake lines, hinges, roll up windows. I do not always wire every engine, just not my thing. If I was building for a show or contest I would include all these things, maybe. Being able to post here I am in charge of what I show in my photos. Maybe I should take more time on that and correct the flaws I see in my own photos. Time, which I am running out of, makes me want to work at a faster pace to allow me to complete most of the models in my stash (probably way too many....I can't help it !) To be a better modeler maybe I should listen more to Criticism. And maybe take more time on each build? I am working on all my skills and paint is at the top of my list. If it doesn't have good paint, forget it or weather it (which is not an easy skill either). I look at as much of other people's efforts as time will allow. I am not in the place to offer Criticism. If I was in the Magazine more often or well known to everyone I would offer free advise or as you call it "constructive criticism". I don't like to see people belittled. There is a group of modelers here that I have deep admiration for and I would appreciate constructive criticism from any of them. I always hate to see sour grapes on here. Oh and I left the mirrors off my list! Why aren't they always included in every kit? End of rant. So can I use your sig line Rob? I wish my spell check always worked lol.
  10. Bob, It makes sence now as they would have used a brand new, at the time, Corvette for every season. Maybe one of their sponsers was Chevrolet? I remember seeing the '62 featured in a Hot Rod magazine where they retraced Route 66, probably what made me think that was THE car. I was a fan of the show when I was a kid so I should have known. Anyhoo glad to see someone building a '61, a real void in most Corvette collections. The 1:1 was a rarity also. A friend of mine had one not too long ago.
  11. This is a great solution on how to get a '61 Vette if it works. I am surprised the two would match up, I've never had any luck with that, useing issues from two different companys. I'll be watching, good luck. On the other issue, I also believe it was a '62 used on the show.
  12. My favorite so far!!! This is some real nitpicking going on here! Good one Danno!
  13. Nicely done. I love the Gasser look and you nailed it!!!
  14. I have one also. Big Lots were selling them really cheap like maybe $4. The gray is uninspiring I agree. Mine is still in the box it came in with a window. I bought way too many Corvettes a few years back. Now they are only worth about $5 on ebay. I had the idea a !:! Corvette owner would pay big $ for a model of his year Corvette some day. Not yet!
  15. I am a Colts fan and clearly the Pats won by a convincing margin. I doubt if the ball pressure would have made that much difference. Why did they have to cheat? Once a cheater always a cheater. Belichick should be banned from the Super Bowl. Just like in NASCAR when the crewchief is banned when the team has been proven to cheat. My only question is why are 12 balls ditributed to each team before a game starts? Wouldn't it be more fair if they were distributed durring the game by the refs like in baseball with the exception of the practice balls?
  16. Found number 3, nice work on another. I love the way you route the exhaust through the side of the body.
  17. Another nice one. I just had to look for some more of your post's. Nice work Willys Man.
  18. I see three and then someone mentions a red one. Any more photos? Looks like you are the Willys man. Those wheels are killer! Love the orange paint too like everyone else so far.
  19. Nice pair of Corvairs and nice reflection of light on the glossy paint job. The '60 looks exactly like my first ever car I repaired in 1:1 auto body shop. I learned all about one piece bodys on that project and installing window glass. The car had been rolled. Ralf Nader would have been proud of your work.
  20. Thanks again guys. I really appreciate all the great comments.
  21. That looks terrible which is good in this case. You really went all out on this one my friend. Looks like some of my 1:1 projects. Wish I could read the sign better, I might buy it.
  22. Okay I have to say it.........ready.........Deflatriots a new word to describe New England. They were the better team but, did they have to????
  23. I like it!!!
  24. Here's the Fall Guy truck. MPC had a model kit of it.
  25. Creative response to constructive criticism is what I like, wish I was better at it. I intentionally left it off because......... Most of us are probably perfect strangers to each other therefore, I hate to criticise anyone's work. Who Knows, they may be border line on how they will react from one extreme to another. " Welcome to the hobby" is the best thing anyone here can say. Please don't send them away with negative words. I won't comment if I don't have anything good to say, besides I can almost always think of something good to say about someone else's work. After all it is their pride and joy. I will respond to constructive criticism myself by saying "thanks" but, I don't know how someone else will react to my criticism. Tulio told me I had the wrong hub cap on the right front of my '36 Ford, it was meant to go on the spare. I appreciate that comment, he is right! Will I change it? I don't know, probably not. Everytime I look at my '36 I think of Tulio and I like Tulio. All of his models are right and I enjoy seeing his work. That is why I respect his comments. Harry the same thing, I know his work and it rates with the best. I wish I could rise to that level but, for now . If I ever attain that level I may consider a show contest but, for now I am happy just to share on this forum. Thanks guys!
