Well I wanted to build a decent '72 and after looking at the gto kit I knew "out of the box" wasn't going to cut it! I just happened to think of the 442 kit and measured the chassis on a built one and saw it would work fine..I did make some mods, but I kind of do this as I go along I ordered the correct grill inserts and the honeycolmbs usual motor detailing, shabo transfers, made the channels for the airscoop, here's a coupla wip pics.
  10. Great Raul!..now I'm trying to remember the name of this ###### movie! that is way cool man

Thanks guys..the color is a mix I made, I believe the chassis swap was pretty easy although I'm sure I had to do some trimming here and there

  22. Don't fall for it!..I saw John drive up to the NNL west in this  that's a beauty man
  23. Haven't been building anything lately, but I saw this Cobra and thought it looked really nice..and I knew I had an old Monogram Cobra 427 street kit and I knew I had some Met. British grn. paint soooo..the body took a lot of clean up and it's molded in red so I primed it with flat hunter green (after a lot of sanding and rescribing) then airbrushed the primary color applied stripes and cleared it. I wanted to match the 1:1 wheels so I took these from an old Revell diecast Cobra and modified them buttt..the fronts sit a little to wide so I might change them..or NOT..the kit 427 isn't bad, I added an oil filter, fuel pump, lines etc. for some reason the interior tub is cut for but has no door panels so I made some..I also made some inner fenders that are attached to the firewall interior section..anyways been kinda fun building something takes my mind off the rest of our problems for awhile
  24. I'm glad that this got brought back up!...I thought a few of you guys missed this (like Ed ) who I thought would "dig" this flash to the good ol days
  25. Well what you came up with is pretty cool!! still looking for a hood
