    '72 GTO

Just completed this...started with the AMT reissue kit, which just might be the crappiest kit I've seen from them! I combined it with a '69 442 kit which has almost identical dimensions, but has much better detail. I also used an A.M grille and wheels

I see George mentions the side stripe...I'm assuming your refering to the 1:1 in my post?..the thing is I'm not sure thats a stripe, but more an effect of (sun?) reflecting off the "crease" in the body HARRY?? your the photo guru I have some other angles of this car and I still can't really tell

I wanted to build a '72 and I knew the AMT reissue would probably need a little work...BUT sheeeesh! this could be the poster child for everything bad you ever wanted to say about an AMT/Ertl kit!!..I used the interior with some added detailing& flocking and the kit body, which took hours of sanding, filling, filing, shaping and primering but it looks decent now. I found a set of resin honeycombs & correct front grill for most of the rest I'm using the AMT '69 442 since the dimensions are very close and I scratched the radiator/fan shroud & rad. support to look more like the 1:1...LOTS left to do What I'm trying for ..minus the V.top
