Agree with Mike, you can use lacquer over enamel, in this case the clear coats, just do a few light mist coats, get the entire body covered, then do a wet coat.

I have had that happen, I was putting to much on in the area that it happened

Here is a little update, got the glass painted, this was the first time I masked and spray painted window glass, I normally just brush it , I used Tamiya semi gloss black the head lights and taillights and mesh screen have been installed And more of the decals have been put on

Oh look what came today, why its another ferrari kit, yeah, I have no idea why I keep buying ferrari kits, well this one was a good deal, with shipping was under $20 from ebay I also got my repaired ECU back for my 1:1 car, now its back in service after close to five months of just sitting. I am happy, now just have to take to emissions

Small update, I made the rack ladder that is on the right side of ecto1, I used .60 square tubbing , I am getting closer to getting this one done, right now the biggest hold up is getting the windows painted.

No it wont, paint hides nothing, and neither does a clear coat

Its a good clear coat, I use it and model master ultra clear lacquer
