Aint that the truth brotha!! Steve, I have been forgetting to put the brake reservoir in on all my stang builds, I dont know why, I just forget to Getting closer to getting this one done
-
I would rather drop a part there then one a part on a painted body when the part has glue on it
-
That is funny , well I had a small set back, while trying to finish up the bullitt tonight, I was trying to put the air filter piece in , well I dropped it and it landed on the roof, of course glue side down . The pic was taken after I did a little sanding to get try and get it ready to repaint I have repainted the roof and cleared it, so waiting for it to try , I did not mask so now I am going to have to go over all the black trim and re do it.

The twelve days of Christmas
martinfan5 replied to Darin Bastedo's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I want to start off by thanking Gregg for giving us such a great place to come and get together, Harry for putting up with us when our threads get a little out of hand, but also thank him for giving us some leeway to have a little fun or have a debate . I want to thank Wayne(agent g), and Danno, for just being themselves , I am looking forward to meeting up with both of them soon again in the new year. And thanks to all the great builders on this site, being on here has made want to get better at this hobby, and I have learned a lot, its amazing, it doesn't matter how long you have been doing this hobby, there is always something new to learn. Want to thank Steve( olskool) for being a big part of the mustang CBP with me, its been fun , and to the rest of the guys that in the CBP. -
The exhaust looks good, what is the rub and buff stuff? Here are some of the kits I have for this CBP
-
Haha better get on it then buddy, well if it makes you feel any better, I can not get a lot down right now with this rain we are having. I will paint in the cooler weather, but cant with rain, so I have two builds that I am waiting on to finish but need to get more paint on the bodys. And whats irritating is, the internet keeps going out with the rain, and people say satellite tv is bad in weather, ha! never lost satellite tv during heavy rain, ( tpying this waiting for the net to come back up)

What is up with horrible messages?
martinfan5 replied to '08SEAL's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Did these "other" people receive these message for no reason?, or did they say something or do something to have it happen?. And well there is really nothing that can be done other then get rid of the PM systems, but that is not going to happen. People are not always going to get along, or agree and sometime, people handle things by saying rude things, its how life is. Disclaimer Not trying to be rude or come off in any other way other then just trying to explain something -
Thanks mate, I havent been able to get a lot done either the last few days, which is ok, it means that it takes me a little longer to go through my small kit stash , and the rain today and I think tomorrow will slow me down some more.

Not any more, since the COT , nothing is the same as the 1:1 counter part.

Yea I had a few of the show kits built, but some how managed to lose both the hoods for them, and they had seen better days, so I use them for test bodys. Chuck, you are right about the steering wheels Edit- so the bullitts come in black too?, I picked up a can of MM GM Emerald Green Metallic, so I will be able to get it painted to tomorrow. Steve, I used the same black you used on various builds and I had nothing but bad luck with it. On a side not, while at Hobby Lobby, I decided to get a thing of testor's liquid cement, and OMG does it smell bad, really strong

The blurry pic is making it hard to see , I cant really see a difference, but I the rear looks better to me
-
I had the flash off, but I have a floresent light so I know that changes the way colors look , I did think about using the dupicolor green but my last time using dupicolor paints , I did not have the best of luck. I use dupicolor primers and sealers, but the paint I am still iffy on using at the moment. I am going to make the trip to hobby lobby today, and see what they have in the way of green , and go from there. Here is an outside pic, with the interior and spare body,

Tamiya Paint Supplier
martinfan5 replied to jjsipes's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
My last trip to the LHS was right after the new label cans came out, and all they had stock for those was primer, and the display area for tamyia was getting real empty .
