I am painting a Red Bull sponsored car that has matte finish. The prototype markings have a somewhat glossy sheen typical of applied vinyl graphics. Any thoughts on how to achieve a matte finish paint while allowing the decals to have their natural gloss. In other words, I am trying not to gloss coat model, decal, then flat coat over paint and decals as I don’t want the decals to have a flat finish. Hope my question makes sense. Thanks.

Thanks for all the quick responses. Spoon test suggestion was helpful. I just did my own spoon test with Mr. Premium gloss topcoat and no immediate adverse reaction.

I polished a recent model with Novus 2. I have decided that I want to clearcoat. I already have decals on so I don't want to clean with anything very harsh. Has anyone had experience painting directly over a Novus2 polished surface? Thanks for any input

did moebius forget the front turn signal lens? It can be painted with a clear orange over BMF, but there is not even any engraving there, just flat, like there should have been a clear lens to go there

Has anyone tried fitting a resin cowl hood made for the amt 69 chevelle on the new revell 68 chevelle? If so, does it work without a lot of modification? Any resin makers doing one specifically for the 68 yet?

Never been to this show before but may have a chance to go in May. Can anyone tell me what to expect as far as number of vendors and are vendors mostly plastic or is there a lot of diecast?

Has anyone noticed that there are no windshield wipers in this kit? Strange omission considering the nice level of detail otherwise. Any recommendations for a source for suitable wipers for this kit?
