  1. I don't know, i'm not going to say much because apparently differences here but I think the Porsche almost ran Ian into the wall that jutted out, and even Dorsey thinks the same, I mean what the hell was Ian supposed to do run into the wall at 140-150? Or could have the Porsche got off the door of Ian and saved his but instead of both of them almost taking each other out, the Panoz was keeping ahead up to that corner, the Lizard was brakign later but around that corner Ian kept his line. In the replay when they shown the back end of the cars, it showed the Lizard contacting him and when Ian realized that the wall was coming and the Porsche seemed to keep going, that he tried to brake which since the Lizard was still turning from the side hits, Ian got into it and spun it into the wall which sent him flying away from the wall. I think they (Lizards) had radio audio in the coverage and the crew and driver even said that it might have been their fault, they were running hard. Yeah the porsche is going to have to compete against a lot in that class. The RS Spyders and R10's are going to be privateer so they should be good, but the R15 teams should dominate, the Pugs will want to do good in their home country though. The coupes just look way better. Tommy, I tried many, many, many times and so have thousand others, they just don't seem to get the message, we are all just waiting for The Racing Network. McNish is my hero, not only have I always wanted to have a Scottish accent but they can drive, and he is no exception.
  2. Hey, I forget who was driving but he was pushing him into the wall and he kept on coming over so the Ian had to lock em up and turn and just hit the rear end of the Lizard, I don't I don't think the Porsche should have been racing like that that close to the finish, i know it was for podium but still, I don't know if he tried to do an 07 again or what but... I think Ferrari is going to put up a good fight this year, but those RSR's are fast. nothing can beat the Rolex guys I figured it was somewhat known over there but yeah, nothing tops the 24 at LeMans. Well during the race Dorosey and all them said that the end of last year, they just went and said that which wasn't really press like of them, and they even spoke with Wolfgang Ullrich and he even said that they weren't all really sure. Now they have been doing better and they want to prove the R15 more, I bet even more after this. They want to do more races. Panoz might get in next year, he said they have ideas and have been thinking about it, all he needs is the ok and the team and they'll build it. I have heard Porsche was and I really hope they do, they have won with the RS Spyders and have great success and great teams so all they have to do is build it, but they would have to make sure they win, if Porsche builds a car, he wants it to win. I want Ferrari to get back into that.
  3. OH HECK YEAH!!! What a great race. Audi, Peugeot, Audi, Peugeot. That just makes the whole reason why I love sports car racing bigger. I agree though, it does win everything but not too much competition and everything is over in Europe. Those Lizards sure did, Risi deserved this. Audi's R15 really was strong and it was nice to see McNish, Kristensen, Capello take it to McNish deserved this and now Kristensen is Mr. Sebring and LeMans WOW 5 wins here. Orange juice! The Pug's 908's did great also, they were competitive and Bourdais did really well. Shame that the Mazda cars retired becasue this is a huge blow on them now for points. The Lolas in P1 shame for them that they didn't do so well also. The Patron and De Ferran cars, man they are wicked, did well but this is what they needed for development. GT1, yeah, we got Long Beach and LeMans and then GT2 reveal The GT2 class my favorite. RISI and FERRARI WINS! To come from the back amazing and with Melo's trouble with coming here, 1 2 Ferrari! The Ferrari team from the FIA GT did well too, it was nice to see them over here in their first 12 hour race. Poor Lizards got in trouble with a few guys out there, running in to people and running them into the walls it does kind of sticnk that they didn't do better. The BMW's OH MY GOD do they sound amazing, shame they retired but first race, really can't complain, can't wait to see them later on. Shame the Aston didn't finish, they weren't doing so bad. The Ford GT did very well, comparing to last year, really was competitive and that Esperante wow Ian James did great and Farnbacher, what a good run 3rd, it's nice to see a Panoz do well in the beginning race of the series he created and the 100th race. The field was awsome and such a variety, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Porsche, Panoz, Corvette, Viper, BMW, Ford. Such a great race, I wonder how many countries it is broadcasted in or if they know much about it? So many drivers and teams from different countries. NOW THAT'S RACING! Thank you Dr. Don Panoz, hope you do creat a P1 car. The little clips of the last 100 races before the commercials was really cool.
  4. That is why I love sports car racing and rally, at least they are dtill facotry backed and the cars LOOK and have same components and engines in the street cars when you go to a dealer. Look at the Ferrari GT2 car in FIA GT, ELMS, ALMS, Challenge, etc. They pretty much ahve the same engine as in the F430 just with open exhaust
  5. Sweet Ute! THIS Dodge needs to make and it's blue!
  6. Well, what a great 2 hours so far, 1 full course caution only because one of the Acura's spun and one of the good competition in GT2 the Ford GT was involved and they went to the break which will get back in 2 hours. I think it's funny how they said, do your shopping and go everywhere you need to go and be back, of course, I think the rediculous break for the NASCAR qualifying and such. The R15 is just dominating but the Pug's are putting up a good fight. Of course GT1, boring but love those Compuware Vettes. The class is the best, GT2, man; Panoz, Viper, Ford, Ferrari Porsche, BMW, Corvette, Aston Martin, great field and those M Powered peast sound incredible and look the part. They said that they wanted to slow these down a bit that way they can see how they run and not beat the rest right off the bat and maybe later increase the power, kind of a good idea. So far so great, wish I was there . I'm moving to Florida...... I can't wait for models to come out of these.
  7. Yeah yeah go Lizards...rubbish! Let's hope it's another 2007 except with BMW and I wish the Corvette. Very interesting the Truth in 24 was..... The new R15 I think looks a lot better than the R10 and it sounds cooler.
  8. Awww man I love these cars..very well done
  9. Yeah, I watched the preview last night on Speed, very nice and informative, of course GT2 is exciting and Jaime Meol didn't make it there yet, stupid immigration laws but the Acura has rear tires in the front? MASSIVE grip but yeah I wonder how long they'll last, it sounded good though, with Brabham seeming to be comfortable. He said that the turbo diesels get them in the straights but the corners they are hoping to shine. I just like how diverse the field is, cars and drivers. and my man, Allan Mcnish....Scotty!
  10. I agree with the small wing but hey of course ,and i'm even a Ferrari fan! But yeah it's liske what Chris said, so he only has to finish first in a few events then the rest of the season, take vacation, you won anyway! Bob, still not going to huh? I can't wait for that also as much as I don't like saying that about people....
  11. Wow, didn't think of that Who's casting them?
  12. I think it's going to be like some of you said. GT2 is going to be crazy! Bob, that site is my favorite, the way those guys think is the way I do I love the FAQ section, glad you like the site too. It would sure be a fun and interesting build, and we'd only have to spend so much
  13. Yeah I saw it, bullcrap if you ask me and yes! It's like congratulations for first the rest, yeah we'll figure something out, good try though. If you notcie Ferrari has always been the brainchild with F1, Massa had 6 wins, Hamilton 5.....yeah!
  14. I can not wait to see that R15, that is just wicked in that shot. I also can't wait for the Truth In 24, i've been hearing about it all last week. I wish I lived near you Maybe you should try a 24 Hours of LeMons palooza, I would go to that
  15. Whos ready for it and who do you thinks going to win? I think the GT2 class will be the highlight, maybe we'll have another '07! CHRIS!
  16. I agree with everyone this looks nice, the color and details are very nice.
  17. I like these, I love wagons so this one i'll watch, I like that green. The no oil is funny because all these "imports" that junkyards rev out until they, well they wish and hope die, they run them without oil
  18. Don't mind me, i'm just taging along.
  19. Yeah, about the positivity and encouragement and push I need sponsers but carbon fiber and kevlar mainly, I'm saving up for the NNL East oh, thanks for my new desktop photo
  20. I like that Mercedes 600 Koenig You just want to torment me......
  21. that is my favorite comment Ohhh, now I like this thread, my kind of realisitc thoughts here. FINALLY, people that have the same truth that I agree with THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! I agree with you 500%, They glorify it more than it actually is, back then, they had to think of stuff because it was good. In all said pansies with an exception of few and it's easy, I don't car what you say.....back then, you had to slide the cars, it was competition between the ACTUAL manufactures and it was just fun. Nowadays none of the manufactures have anything in there, all race shop made, boring. Drivers back then were good, they competed in Formula One, sports cars, back then NA$CAR fans even liked sports cars, Trans Am, a great in my mind and were recognized highly over in Europe, seriously look how many won the 24 Heur Du Mans and other prestigious races, a lot and people around the world recognized, now they only think NA$CAR is our best thing and no real talent recognized over in Europe, look at Johnny O Connell with the Vettes over in LeMans and Spa and such, now he's representing! Jag and Lamborghini and all the other and ones you listed are smart, they no better than to start making cars over here and really have crappy vehicles. Toyota made a big mistake I think, they had made cars and traucks that outlast many others when they were made in Japan, I don't care what anyone says, they should stick to the way they have been building cars for over 50 years, their Landcruiser BULLITPROOF! the new Tundra, recalls and bad engineering. One of the main reasons I like sports car and rally and all those, for example, look at any British touring car and you see headlights and tailights; on the production car, shape; on production car, dash; on production EVEN NOW and so on with all the others......I love my old American cars and racing but then and now, dang the Europeans just dominate over it. Now don't get me wrong, I know a couple guys that build INCREDIBLE NA$CAR models and I love them but the real thing...... Man this has made my day and probably week, thank you mate!
  22. Does anyone live near a track that has this race first of all?
  23. he's right, some don't know. Sport Compact Car called the new turbocharged Cobalt SS the new Integra Type R. heck yes!
  24. That Rabbit is so cool! You did a great job on the flares. Nice wheels. what kit is it, I wouldn't mind getting some. That Celica is nicely done too.
  25. I have known about this for years, with Grassroots Motorsports, but I thought I'd share for those who don't know.. This is racing, better than those big money corporate racing series, blah!!! This is real racing, for under $500! Who says racing and fun has to be expensive! Also for great laughs. The website is downright hilarious and the frequently asinine quips are funny. This one's for you VW Dave 24 Hours of LeMons http://www.24hoursoflemons.com/ In the newest issue, the one with the yellow CRX is the event for last year, it shows what it's about. Here's the Grassroots Motorsports event the $200X Challneges and Grand Challenge for you guys out west. http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/events/2009-challenge/ http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/grand-challenge/
