Oh yes I know, I had 4 RC's already and one being a T-Maxx, boy, that was a money pit. When I figured out what I need for this truck I plan to build, I got close to $750 but I can EASILY bring that down. I have two bosses, mom and dad!

oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy!!!!!! ANOTHER GUY LIKE ME ON HERE! I am HUGE into the scale RC truck deal, I belong to Scale4X4, in the process of buying all the stuff I need to make me a "new" Bruiser and i'll be using a Riegn S2 chassis, with Traxxas tranny and all that but will use Tamiya's re issued 79. WILL show pics. You don't realize how excited I am to see these pics and know that there is a guy on here that is into the SAME thing So I guess you know all about Bruisers, Mountaineers, Pajero CC-01, CR-01, Hi Lift, TLT axles and all that??

Oook Gregg what you want?! yes, as what Joe said they are made from the New Bright and such body's and so you would probably have to make one or find somebody Proline had an Fj40 body that was licensed but then the licenses went away and were hard to get from them and at a good price and they discontinued them, you can still find them, some bring good money but if you are lucky you might be able to find one cheap at a hobby store in the body section. You probably saw the Proline Fj40 and the newly tooled Bushwacker but no FJ but don't be surprised if you see one soon. I have reverse! and with my experience, I locked both axles up but found out you can't turn AT ALL unless you have a huge yard for the huge turning radius. I only locked the rear because then it's straight and when your climbing it will lock and be more stable. There are actual straight axle kits but to do it yourself works as good or even better than the kits and the plastic axle housings are just fine, you don't need to buy those fancy aluminum ones you'll scratch up, unless you want that, same with the chrome plated ones. All I did to lock my axle was take one of the three gears inside the axle case and put one in between the other two so it will lock, you can also JB Weld it for permanent lock or use silly putty or epoxy! The nice thing with switching the gears is that it's temporary and it doesn't screw up your axles at all. Not sure about the beer. Hey, your picking up these big name brands quick!

MEEE TOO!

wow your good, thought you might have trouble but NOPE! I actually didn't really have an idea on the first one in the Scirocco! THANKS ITB's!!!!!! and yes it is part of an Italian car with an Italian gearbox hey hey!

The Tracer is perfect for beginner types, for you Gregg, it is perfect and includes everything and it is a great chassis but is kind of limited. It is mainly for rock crawling but if you want it to be "scale" then you might want to find one of the chassis above, don't get me wrong though, I ran a Tracer chassis and they are very well thought out and usable for the money and you got some of the BEST and toughest axles on the market. They aren't dumb questions, it's like us asking you on Hawaii or models or something! I look up to you Gregg, I know, hard to believe, but you got knowledge but this is something to gain on and besides, you were probably lonely at the Monterey Classics? Extra ticket??? RC Helicopter I might be able to help you, not TOTALLY sure on those things but most of the same electronics, I know a couple guys that have them and my brother in law has one and boy they are fun and addicting! Oh and i'm glad you visited Junfac, they have some GREAT products, i'll actually be ordering some from them. Check these out! http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=23935 http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/showthrea...ghlight=cruiser that one I know you'll like that site is like the Model Cars of scale RC trucks

Well Gregg, I would check out Scale4X4 and their forum because there is tons of guys that did FJ's on their for scale trails and such. The only real "good" trail parts on the TLT-1 are the axles and they are some of the toughest and well known in the business and among crawlers and trail pigs. RC4WD has some great scale parts. What you would do is get the axles and running gear and figure out how to mount all your electronics and body on the chassis, I would recommend an aftermarket one, as the likes of the Montana Scale Designs BB-51 and Reign chassis and Diaz Designs has some GREAT scale looking frames out there, most of them just coming with the rails and mount tubes and the hardware, you have to get everything else, most chassis are cheap, some are over $100 but some are as low as $20, the Reign 2S, which I think I'm getting is a great looking chassis at the price, $45. There is this holy grail of RC trucks called the Bruiser/Mountaineer made by Tamiya in the mid 80's and it is THE most realistic scale truck out there, they bring big bucks on evilbay, close to $1000 for mint in box ones. Tamiya has now re issued the Bruiser, since it was discontinued, and is named the HiLift but it has the same characteristics as the original all down to the 3 speed tranny, which is crazy. It also had metal frame rails and all metal axles that looked like ACTUAL Toyota axles, the Bruiser had a 79' Toyota pickup body on it which is why my dad loves it and why I especially love it. The Tamiya Pajero was and is a HUGE scale chassis to start from as the tires or more proportional, 1.9" compared to the 2.2" size wheel used with most aftermarket chassis. also ask Davkin, David King, maybe he knows a good bit about these and the subject to and I know him from Scale4X4 and magazines. If you need any parts I got some. I have a radio, reciever, servos, tires, wheels, batteries, charger, etc. I even have a Diaz chassis if you want it. I LOVE the FJ builds and they are so cool on the trail. I plan on doing a full on scale build with maybe a repop Toyota body, either FJ40 or the pickup or I was actually thinking of doing an FJ. http://www.montanascaledesigns.com/store/index.php?cPath=25 http://www.reignrc.com/ Diaz Designs is hard to find because he doesn't have a real website, although you can work with him over the forums, he is a technical drafter you can also find his work along with TONS of other scale parts here http://www.rc4wdstore.com/ http://rpphobby.com/ If you have any more questions or need clarification, just ask!

I should Decals might be able to work but how would I cut it? I might just paint gunmetal or black in the indentations and curves of the front bumper.
