  1. Same here and I’m looking forward to getting out to a few shows out East!
  2. Started out on opening up this step side and scratch built the front cross member and was looking for your page to see what you left off on. This one I sent to a club brother to finish so he was asking about it so I sent it to him. Have a few more I need to get back on and one of them is on my bench now. Let’s get back to these bro! 😎
  3. Oh yeah! Glad you’re back on it! I was surfing the pages looking of your post about this one!! I’ll be posting up one of my other truck builds I did for you! 👍
  4. Well I always wanted to do a T Bucket and I finally got five of them mostly glue bombs and one semi complete kit a few years back. Been working on making one with all my extra parts. So this is what I built from all the different one s I got for parts. I have plans for a few more T Buckets coming up soon 😎 If anyone know of a good 3D printed small bock with a blower either ford or Chevy let me know 👍 IMG_4062.mov IMG_2080.mov IMG_2081.mov
  5. Also I recommend going into the past street Rod hot rod and street machine magazines for inspiration
  6. The wheels are from 1:18th diecast donors and 3D printed hine joints and scratch built linkage. I have a lot of extra everything to built these and I have a few more at the moment! The best kits to have are the Revell 34 phantom and coupe kits!
  7. This is my eBay score that I took and rebuilt to make this 55 Street Rod build that I really love back from the 90’s. Had to make a few changes and upgrade the look to what I wanted and achieved. Thanks to Texas3d and scratch building I finished and imaging a classic driver that I would own myself. It has a 409 with auto trans detailed and plumbed as accurate as I could for the realism look. Let me know what you all think! IMG_7145.mov
  8. Hello fellow builds! Lately I have been buying 1/16th scale kits from eBay and redoing them into something more modern and custom! I got this 16th scale 55 nomad that was box stock with a two tone vintage color and had a blast trying to figure out what direction to go with it and trying all kinds of wheels and motor from 3D printed LS motors and going back to more traditional methods and came up with a clean low Rod Wagon. I cut the rear tubs for a wider wheel and lowered it with scratch built after market parts and some 3D printed parts and fittings to give it a realism look. This is my 1/16th scale 1955 Low Rod from three kits of parts and bench time. IMG_3262.mov
  9. Yes the same kit! A friend made the fleet side bed panels and I made the mold for the tailgate so just waiting on my friend to re cast them all. This truck is still on my bench to get finished!
  10. Well I made it the 75th Anniversary of the Grand National Roadster Show in Pamona and model car show!
  11. Just got back from the Grand Nationals in Pamona today and it got 2nd place in large scale drag race and my 1/16th scale T Bucket got 3rd in miscellaneous class
  12. Truly Amazing project 👌
  13. Wow it looks beautiful so far!
  14. I have the US Army dragster funny car kit with both I’m building at the same time next.😎
  15. Well guys I have been busy adding to my collection and sell a few to! Most of these I got from eBay and rebuilt them with the intention to keep myself busy building. Had to sell some but I’m very happy with what I have created from these builds. 🙏😎
  16. Took some pictures of it outside in the nature sunlight😎
  17. thank you! for the scoop i used a flat red from testor's and the wires i used from another dragster kit I had. This kit I had to start all over with new decals as the ones it came with ripped on me while laying them down! t was hell to make them lay flat and hug shapes even with decal set. The Rear rims i got from my club brother Paul Mendoza and I sprayed them with the Testors chrome paint and had gto wait over a week for them to dry. Even the side wing i painted with the chrome paint and waited for them to dry to.
  18. Good evening guys it’s been a while since I was on here but I have been building and working on my collection and I finally finished my 1/16th scale California Dragster I been working on for about 11 months.
  19. CHIXRID & SOO BADD EXCUSION
  20. Here is my reference I’m going off of and adding my scratch building skillz and ideas with this style of suspension for my Dads tribute truck. Funny thing is that this truck and owner I helped build a few of them also! “Crazy Kustomz “ of Escondido Ca was the shop that built this beast for Craig Elder and his sponsors back in the days. So it’s fitting to recreate the suspension I know and helped fab up on my builds as my dad loved them to!
  21. This is my tribute build for my late father who was a fan of my work since I learned from him the basics of building. I made my own way into the game in 1/16th scale because of his guidance. He tough me to get the details that make the difference in anything I do count. My Brother and I use to watch him as a child build 1/16th scale dragsters while we watch Drag Racing on TV on the weekends. He loved OBS Chevy Trucks and use to own a few custom cars to. When I built my 1/16th scale Extreme Crew Cab Build he said what’s going to make your truck better or different from everyone else Mijo? I showed him a few ideas I drew out and he said to think outside the box and make my own box to build in until I need to break it and make a bigger box! I showed him my idea for the 1st ever working air bags for 1/16th scale and he showed me a few ideas to make them work and it did! Two of my 1/16th scale truck had / have working air ride long before anyone else who claims they did it first. MCM /Layitlow forums seen it first back in the days. This thread I’ll be sharing my scratch building of “Big Jim 4X4 “ Chevy Truck for him. Enjoy the thread guys!
