  1. Got a late start to the day I want to go back to bed

  2. I keep trying to send u a message but it say you can't get one right now?

  3. I get odd thoughts like I wonder if there is a model of a bus that bends in the middle like the one I'm riding now

  4. First off I dislike testor's putty! It's so crumbily and hard to work with. Now this may be a dumb question but did you primer before you painted the model?
  5. I just jumped on evil bay and found it sorry guys you are right it's a 53 studebaker starliner. I have been fogging my mind for a lot of years so I have been mistaken a lot I need to pull it out from the abyss and see if I'm mistake on the part count and needing instructions
  6. I haven't seen the kit in a long time the more I think about it the more I want to say it's a hawk I known the cover art is the stude parked diagnally with the front sloping downwards towards you and the car is red
  7. Is he a 55 chev? I alway thought he looked more like a 57 IH ya I thought he was an InTOONational he-he
  8. Oh so many years ago I have an aunt who bought me an AMT? 59 stude lark from a thirft staore. It was a car she and her husband had back when they both where learning to become pastors in the salvation army. I have always wanted to build it for them but there was no instructions and if I remember right it seemed to have a bunch of extras. Does anybody have a set of instructions for this build they would be willing to photocopy for me? I will pay for the cost of the kinko's copies and the stamp/stamps. Part II. Where would I find the color schemes offered for the stude that year? and now for something completely different. I just joined about two weeks ago and I want to say this site is amazing I spend hours on here learning so much. I love the fact I can walk away from the 'puter and apply what I have learned. Or if I'm at the worlbench I can just jump on my phone. You guys don't know what this hobby and website has done for me. Both are keeping me sober/clean if I get the urge to do something bad I just sit down at my workbench and soon the craving (and time lol) disappear. Thank you everyone who makes this site what it is
  9. I'm painting both a 1:1 and a 1/25. I know it says green but it sprayed terquoise. I even had my gf miss "thats not yellow it's called sunrise" agree that it matched the old paint pretty good but I got to thinking the paint is probably not something u want to use on scale engines. It is a high temp paint and I think would be to hot for them? Don't quote me on that.
  10. After searching all over to get the correct paint for my 1:1 chrysler 361ci. An old timer who I trust more then most told me I was making it to hard. He said just go to the tractor supply and grab a can of detroit desiel engine paint. I did and by golly it's almost a spot on match. No more searching the endless array of paints at the local hobby shops.
  11. Yup that is the one I found too and I thought to my self how in the world?
  12. I can't remember where I saw it. But I remember seeing a 70 super bee detail kit. I think it was photo etched but it could of been decals? Does anybody know where I can find them?
  13. All the valve covers for the 426 hemi that I see are chrome plated is there a kit that has the proper valve covers or how would a person go about making the crinkel painted covers???
  14. re visiting this topic. I may be making this harder then it is idk? The size sheet styrene seems a lil thin for a 3/8" metal. Would u guys makie the bracket out of two peices of styrene or just one that is scored and bent to make up the two demensions? Does anybody have a pic of one they did?
  15. Two part question. Part I. I want to make models of the real cars I own. I have found models of the 69 camaro, a 70 which I can make into a 72 camaro, 79 camaro to match my 81. Now I need a third gen camaro to match my 87. Does or did anybody make a 82-92 camaro? If so how can I get my hands on one? Part I I. I also have a 63 chrysler new yorker with a 413 and 727 push-button-auto did any one make a 63-64 Chrysler newport, new yorker, 300 this car is my baby and I would pay a lot for a model kit like my baby if there is one.
  16. I just got an airbrush the other day and already I don't like those cans of compressed air . Do you guys have any thoughts and suggestions on a small quiet compressor that a person could use? Keep in mind I live in an apartment so I stress the word quiet.
  17. I plan on making my camaro a street/strip car. I was wondering if I could use the parts tree material for my roll cage? Something tells me that they would work but would be way out of scale
  18. I bit the bullet today. I figured the only way to prevent brush stokes was to buy an airbrush I got a beginner model the badger 200-3 deluxe (comes with accs I guess lol) I hope to have it up and running soon.
  19. I have seen them at detail master
  20. As I said before I'm new to this hobby. I'm starting with testors acrylic paint for the interior. I am having problems with the paints showing my brush strokes. Do I need to thin my paints down or is it how I'm applying them? Sorry for the rookie questions
