Yeah I can see that. The value is in the eye of the buyer, and hopefully, for them anyways, there at least one buyer out there willing to invest. The crazy thing is that the buyers have not driven the price to this. It's a Buy It Now!
The SMP/AMT 1911 Chevy kit. I saw a posting on eBay for it and although the seller is right that I had never heard of it, is any kit really worth over $1700. Not trying to ruffle anyone's feathers, but curiosity has gotten the best of me. Thoughts?
Thanks everyone. And thank you, Tulio. I know you have a lot of information on a lot of these Fords. I will look into fixing that. Was that part of the it that I missed or would foil on the edges work the same, you think?
Here is something on my bench right now. Played around a paint job I had been wanting to lay down on a wagon. This one seemed to be the right boady for it.
Thanks David and Rastislav. It deserves a nice base but this is for a contest in which we sell the builds to see which one gets the highest bid. I believe there are about 10 entries with this same kit. We'll see how it does against the rest.
Doug is absolutely correct. This is a 56. Typo. Thank you al for your comments. Tom, I would love to get your feedback. I'm good if you do it here. im sure others may find it insightful too. I will tell you, I really enjoyed working on this one. The next one I will pay more attention to all the trim for sure. And maybe wear gloves more often. I was itchy every time I worked on it. Haha!
