  1. All I can say is WOW. I really dig rat rods, but you have put an amazing twist to this one. Good job man.
  2. Awesome work Cranky, You and all of these creative people are the reason I get on this forum everyday.
  3. Im really digging the camo and weld job. Keep up the good work man. Cant wait to see what youve got planned for this thing.
  4. Not quite sure what im going to do with it, but I had one of those moments wher I had glue in one hand and styrene in another and WAALLAAAA
  5. I try to do the same thing with my nieces and nephews and little cousins, but I cant seem to get them away from the video games and satelite tv long enough to get them started. My daughter (8 years old) has not built one yet, but there is not a minute that goes by that she is not standing over my shoulder watching me build. My plans are to take her to hobby town USA on her Birthday and let her pick out her own kit and build it that day.
  6. I really like your chipping job al, I need to learn how to do that. I do have to admit though, this build has taught me alot about weathering and rust.
  7. Ok guys here is the rat rod in desperate need of finishing. I dont have too much to do to it, but it will still take me 3 days to do it (im just pokey when it comes to creative blocks).I have the hemi mocked up in there, but I really think I am going to change it to a small block chevy. I also need to find some seats that fit the look.
  8. Sorry guys I accidentaly posted wrong file pics up instead of the finished file pics. I am new to this whole drop box picture thing .
  9. I have been working on this one off and on for a while now. I used the tires and wheels out of a VW Beetle kit and scratch built a set of shackles for the rear leaf springs. Hope you like it.
  10. OK I just downloaded drop box to my phone, lets see if it works.
  11. Can someone help me out a little with pics. Is what I do is take pictures on my phone and than upload it to facebook and than save to a file and upload it to this forum, but my problem is that the pics always come up as thumb nails. I cant figure out how to make the pictures bigger. Could someone help me out please? Thanks
  12. Just a little progress pic from weekend, need to scratch build an office chair and paint the inside of the cargo box. Enjoy
  13. This is a killer idea Joe, I may need a good preachin to get rid of all theese crazy thoughts in my head after this build is over (just kiddin it has been a blast).Just an idea for the glass, clear plastic case for the smaller scale cars. Just a thought its your build let your mind roll.
  14. Dale that is looking good, you must of had to take out a small loan for all that styrene, and all those kits. Keep up the good work man.
  15. Its nice to see more youngsters are getting into the hobby since it fizzled out there for a while, and you cant buy models in wal mart and k mart any more. With the help of the internet it helps kids and adults realize what they are missing out on and gets them started.
  16. WOW, Neal the chev-hell is looking pretty scary man. I especially like the script on the roof, nice touch.
  17. Cranky you can count me in on this one since I missed out on the last one. I have an old rat rod that really needs to be finished, and what better way to get it done than a little bit of pressure. Its actually the rat that is in my profile picture. I guess now that I made this commitment, I suppose I had better go out to my man box and try to find it LOL.
  18. WOW put some good armor around the windows and and it could b e TZH scout vehicle. Very nice build man.
  19. Here is a pic of my scout trike dually. I will be able to mount a scabbered with a rifle once I get rear fenders put on it.
  20. BlazeFof, you don't necissairly have to buy the expensive kind of sheet styrene. There are all sorts of things you can use for instance, for sale signs, the clear plastic on the front of a toy box, plastic tooth picks for rod styrene, martini straws, and other styles of plastic junk you can find. I use for sale signs the most and have never had a problem. Jerred
  21. Thanks Ken, but The tires are not glued on yet they are just set on there for now, just a progress pic.
  22. Yes Hugh great minds do think alike. In the back will be a zombie tracking system and gun rack with alot of guns and ammo. My plans are to put a ladder in and a gunner station on the top of the cargo boxes. Jerred
