The DEFIBULATOR
rustymodeler replied to rustymodeler's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
I got some paint on her today. I always dread painting, cause theres so much you can screw up if it doesnt go right. My plan was to paint from the body line down black, but I kind of like the way this is looking right now.Sorry about the poor pictures. -

K so I found a top that would work, but its in pretty bad shape. Here is what I have so far. I also mocked up a rear bumper, plain jane but it will do the trick. -

Ok those pictures arent in the order I had planned them to be in. Sorry -
I am going to attempt to put a heart beat back into this old chevy blazer, therefore I shall call this build the DEFIBULATOR . I had purchased this at an auction with a whole bunch more models. This truck was a major glue bomb. I am using a frame that I had traded for a month or so ago, and I am building a front and rear custom bumpers. I had also filled in the roof where the sun roof was at. Well enough jibber jabber and on with the insanity.

I have a military friend who was over in Iraq for about a year and a half. He would get care packages that had models, but no paint so he would put them together without painting them. By the time he was released to come back home he had about 50 non painted models. He had them all shipped back and gave me about 23 of them and sold the rest of them on e-bay. The ones he sold on e-bay were all nascars, but he still got a pretty good chunk of change for them.

2012 POST APOCALYPSE/ZOMBIE HUNTER COMMUNITY BUILD
rustymodeler replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in Community Builds
WOW Hugh the tenderizer is looking awesome. I really like the box and the way the cab sets above the fenders. Keep it going man. -
Hey guys I hope you can help me out. How exactly do I remove the glue globs on glue bombs? I bought a bunch of built cars at an auction and would like to restore a few of them, but whoever built these things probably had a fortune in glue. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

I found this army kit at my local dollar general for $2, so I bought 4 sets of them. The tank has really nice 1:24 tires and wheels that have pretty nice detail. I also got the 2 59 impalas on a trade and the grand national and the challenger for easter.

Wow man that is SICK. I bet your arm really hurts from patting yourself on the back for that one. You are a creative genius.
