  1. Great Build. Good Job!!!
  2. Thanks guys for all the nice compliments. I'll have to post the other 1/3 of the cars later today. I have quite a few diecast and 1/43 resin builds. Al
  3. Beautiful job!!!
  4. This is a Alloy Form I did a couple of years ago, when I could see with out tri-focals Bare Metal Foil was used for all trim. Al
  5. Anyone wants to come to Jersey to race, your always welcome in my home. I run 120' of digital track and have over 100 cars. Al
  6. I have a lot of unbuilt kits like everyone else. But I desided to start building them. After suffering a stroke last summer, it made me think to do what I enjoy since I can't work anymore. No sob story, just renewing my favorite hobby. You won't find engine or chassis detail, but I can paint and fine detail interior and bodies. So here's my 2nd 1 day slammer and it's another Buick, This time a 65 Rivera. Enjoy it, I did. Al
  7. My parents wouldn't let me have one when I got my license, so I go a job a local Chevy dealer and learn to paint the murals. Then take them out for a test drive, Good time. You did beautiful work. Al

    Excellent!!!
  9. I think she know it's way past that. I have over 3,600 cars in my collection and 1 1982 928S Porsche. That's why I'm confined to the basement and Garage. I've got to get heat in these places.
  10. I have to get that. Love the colors. Great job.
  11. My wife thinks I'm crazy, but I think it's just a lot of fun.
  12. Beautiful job!!! I like the 2 tone.
  13. I use a floor heater to accelerate the drying times, been using this method for years with great results. The kit is the 70 Buick Wildcat. Not many pieces, but a lot of fun to build. I doing another slammer today, the 65 Rivera. I already painted it in Tamiya Maroon and is front of my heater. I'll post the finished car later today. Thank everyone Al
  14. I used Testors Black Lacquer polished out 20 minutes after I painting with the Treatment and then one pass of Tamiya clear blue for windows. Next Bare Metal Foil and the wheels were done with a fine black Sparpie, some Tamiya tints for side markers and you have a nice slammer. Also being retired helps. Al
  15. It was a good day to build a slammer soup to nuts, paint, bare metal, window tint and wheels. This was a fun project. Al
  16. Very nicely done Al
  17. The Imperial is from the original owner of F&F. I picked it up at his home in Queens NY. It has a balsa wood chassis.
  18. I used Testors Maroon enamel spray and Omni-Pak polyeurethane clearcoat. The clearcoat does a good job but takes a month to dry. Thank you all for the nice comments. Here's a couple more.
  19. I finally have a camera that can take pictures of some of my cars. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Al
  20. I just used a silver Sparpie paint pen. Works great.
  21. I don't have pictures of the engines or chassis yet. I'm in Chicago and the model is in New Jersey. I did find the pictures of the taillights though. Thank you for the nice comments. Al
  22. I've always liked the red and black 2 tone like the one my dad had. He got it with the radio upgrade, a 32 tube AM, tinted glass, 3 on the tree with overdrive. I learned to drive a stick on the car. Al
  23. I just found these Vallejo acrylic washes at Al's in Elmhurst Il. They have a lot of different colors that I can use. But I would like to know a little bit more before I order it. Al
  24. A few more pictures. Al
  25. Some good reference photo's for a stock build. http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2010/12/13/hemmings-find-of-the-day-1957-ford-custom/
