  1. Thanks everyone. Here's a little update. I have to add the mirrors, tail pipes and etc. I'm pleased how this is turning out so far. Let me know how it looks. Thanks, Al
  2. This is Cheyenne, the star of this story. She's a Gerberian Shepsky, a real bread.
  3. Thanks again guys. Monty, I get all my Dupli-color at my local Pepboys. They have excellent selection.
  4. Thanks guys. Ray, I shocked you so much, you post your reply twice. LOL
  5. I been working on this Missing Link Resin transkit for 3 years. I would of had this done a month ago, but my dog Cheyenne knocked it off the table and it split in half. So my friend and fellow modeler Dave Wood rebuilt the body. It's painted Dulpi-color dark toreador red with black interior. I hope to finish it this week. Thanks for looking. Al
  6. Clean as the day it was molded. Still looking for a hood. Thanks for looking, Al
  7. That is Beautiful Peter!!!
  8. Thank you for the nice comments. I added the mirrors and rear license plate. The wheels I got at the NNL East last year and I'll ask Tom Geiger tomorrow night who the vendor was and I'll post it here. The vendor make some of the best wheel and tire packages on the market and come various colors and styles. Thanks again, Al
  9. Update: After 5 days in Purple Power, the bare plastic is finally showing through. This is a tough strip, usually it only takes 24 hours. I'm going to let it soak for another day to get the remaining paint off. I count 8 different colors that this puppy was painted. Now I still need to find a hood. Thanks for looking. Al
  10. Here we go again for our clubs annual Paper Bag contest. This years surprise was AMT's 53 Vette and the random color was black. I started on this on Monday, so I took my time on this one I used MV's for all my lights. I know it needs mirrors, anything else? Thanks for looking. Al
  11. Well after 4 days in Purple Power, I come to realize the person who painted it had stock in a paint company This thing has 7 or 8 coats of paint, but it's coming off slow but sure. Because the bumpers and wheel covers were also brush painted, I didn't even bother to take it apart when it went in the tank. I'll redo the chrome with Alclad. It's not pretty yet. Al
  12. It goes into the Purple Power after I get home from my club meeting tomorrow. I want others to witness how bad this one is.
  13. Ron, I think yours was painted by the same guy as mine. LOL
  14. I won this one on ebay for 21 bucks. It's a very rare 64 Rambler American with a straight six. I bid on this one because it was brush painted, that the best for stripping to bare plastic. This will be bone stock, the only way I like them. This may take me a while, since I need to get a hood from The Modelhaus. Thanks for looking. Al
  15. Thanks guys. These where fun to do. Tom, They'll be there and I love the chicken. Al
  16. I just wanted to know what the Starsky's driveway looked liked at holidays. Al
  17. I want to thank everyone for helping me with my Torino without opera window. It's done and I think it came out pretty good. Let me know how it looks. Al
  18. Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Per your suggestions, I changed the vinyl top material to 3M Masking Tape and painted it the same color as the interior. I'll start the BMF as soon as the top drys. How does it look? Thanks again for your help. Al
  19. Thank you for your opinion on the top. I'm going remove it tomorrow and try another material for the top. Thanks for the nice comments. Al
  20. Got my 2nd S&H Torino yesterday and I just couldn't wait. I primed it with Tamiya grey primer and then Tamiya silver Mica, followed by 3 coats of Testors Wet Look Clear. The interior is painted with Rustoleum Merlot. I added a masking tape split vinyl top painted silver. I lowered the suspension to stock and added AMT's Whitewalls parts pack with some spare parts box wheels. I have to add BMF, Headlights and side markers, etc. How does it look? I value your imput. Al

  22. Thank you guys. I'm on a quest now to find an affordable 67 Conti. Al
  23. Thanks again everyone. JT, My windows are done with 4 very light coats of Tamiya clear blue. It's easy to over tint, so I always have a piece of white paper to check the tint. It takes me 10 seconds to get the right tint. Hope this helps. Al
  24. The 1st is a rare 64 Hardtop Promo and the 2nd is a 65 hardtop kit. Both were painted using Dupli-color with Testors Wet Look Clear top coat. I just received a 62 and 63 convertibles, I won off ebay. I'm looking for a 67 to complete my collection. So I'm on Suicide Watch Thanks for looking. Al
  25. Thanks everyone. I had a lot of fun building this one. I can't wait for my 2nd one to arrive. Al
