  1. Thanks guys. I need to finish the interior, chassis and engine now.
  2. Got the chrome on. I used the Molotow pen for most of the trim.
  3. Thanks guys. I'm installing the BMF now and will post a pic when I'm finished with the Foil.
  4. Thanks David. I used Boyd's Sunburst enamel sprayed over the flat Black.
  5. Thanks Sam.
  6. Thanks Brian. How are you and your wife doing these days? I haven't been to any meetings since March this year because of the virus. There hasn't been much going on in the club this year because of it. I hope that we can do more next year. This is driving me nuts. The only thing that keeps me sane is working on the models. I just like to rebuild or fix glue bombs. Take care and stay safe.
  7. Here is the latest picture of the 40. I sprayed Blue Green Pearl mixed in clear over the Black primer.
  8. Here are a couple of pics of the Pontiac so far. I used BMF under the paint and you can see it on the picture with the primer on the car.
  9. Thanks Carl. I just love trying to restore broken and glue bomb cars.
  10. Thanks Craig, I've been able to save quit a few cars this way, and I enjoy fixing them.
  11. Jim, thanks, I use Amazing Mold Putty by Alumilite to make the mold and I use finger nail resin that I got from Sally's beauty supply to make the part.
  12. 1st and 2nd coats of primer . Still a long way to go.
  13. First coat of primer.
  14. Thanks Craig. I use fingernail resin to make the parts. I made a mold of another 62 and then used the resin to make the parts. Here are some pics of the way I did the mold and parts.
  15. I got this car from e-bay and I'm going to try and restore it. There is a lot of work that needs to be done. I have made the 8 lug wheels, boot, tail lights and the piece that goes between the grills. i also made the windshield frame. It is crazed from lacquer paint and that should be no problem or maybe a tad. I have painted a 63 Impala that was crazed and it turned out ok. Here are some pics of what I've done so far.
  16. Thanks guys. I'm getting it ready for some primer now.
  17. Thanks Wayne. I hope that I can fix it.
  18. Here are some pictures of a 40 Ford that I built when I was 13 or 14 years old. I about destroyed the car and now I'm trying to fix it.
  19. I had to repaint the Gold on the White one. I messed up the clear when I sprayed it on and had to re-do it. Next comes the building of the rest of the cars.
  20. I used Testors White, Black and Gold enamels in the little 1/4 oz bottles. I thin the paint with enamel reducer and spray through an air brush.
  21. Testors enamel. That's what I mostly use for all my painting. I thin the 1/4 oz jars with Enamel Reducer (medium dry) about one part paint and three to four parts reducer and use an air brush with between 12 to 18 psi. The enamel dries about the same as lacquer. In about ten minutes I can touch the bodies after painting but I usually let it set over night before I mess with it.
  22. Yesterday I repainted the Gold on the White car. I'll sand it and then redo the clear tomorrow. The Black one is ready for the next step. I'm going to build the engine and install headers and then have to alter the chassis so the headers will fit.
  23. Thanks guys. I have to redo the Gold on the Gold and White car. Someone that I know messed up when he sprayed the clear coat on it. Me, that is. Ha ha. Oh well, that happens once in awhile.
  24. Here are some pics of the two cars that I've started to work on. It was a little harder to mask off the White car because of the White body and paint. I got the Gold paint on this afternoon. I'll let them dry a few days and then spray clear over them.
  25. Thanks guys, and Snake, I never knew that this car existed. I've only seen two pictures of it and they are both Black and White. I guessed on the colors. If I'm wrong then I will change to the right colors.
