Thanks guys. Z, the story is that I wanted to make a replica of "Nellybelle" (Jeep) from the Roy Rogers TV show from the fifties. Pat Brady drove this cantancerous Jeep and it always got my attention. I really liked that Jeep. Well, this one has taken parts from five different jeeps to construct. Parts from a couple CJ5's, and parts from a couple of WWII jeeps. I really enjoyed building this. The doors are made from brass sheet and I scratch built the boxes in the back and modified the hitch. The bar going across is made from copper wire. The door hinges are cut down doll house parts, and the hinge on the hood is from minature piano hinge. There is also a piece of copper wire that is part of the shield in front of the driver and passenger area. Here is a pic of what she looked like in the begining. Thanks guys. This is the first time that I've tried scratch building and I like it. I'm having fun puttin her together. I used doll house hinges for the doors, and my fingers always got in the way, and for the hood I used the miniature piano hinge instead of the stupid plastic one. There is a lot of eyeball engineering here. I never did find any real good pictures of what I needed the most, so, if it looked right it was right. Dan
