  5. Now, she's lookin really sweet. Look at all that BMF. Man that's a lot of BMF. Dan
  6. Yeah, I know what ya mean bout the front wheel. It is almost touching the bottom of the body now, so I don't know what I can do cause I'm getting kinda strapped for time. I'm going to take a look at it tonight and see if I can do something with it. Thanks again. Dan
  7. Darin, this is as low as I can get it without the front wheel hitting the body underneath. If I go any lower, the bottom will hit the ground. I need to take a better picture of the belly to ground I think to see how low it really is. Thanks for your comments. It makes me think that maybe I can lower it some more, I'll see when I get a better look at it tonight. Dan
  8. From one Dan to another, yep warped and old in my case This is for my club meeting in September and I can't wait to get it done. I'm going to do some painting for this build that I've not tried yet. The base color will be metalic red with a bluish-green pearl powder mixed with clear and painted over the red. How much pearl I use is yet to be determend. We'll see how this turns out. Dan
  9. Thanks Rick. Yeah, the show was originally back in the 50's, but it is still shown on some cable and public broadcasting stations. She really was a fun build. I learned a lot building her. Dan
  10. Here are some pics of a jet fighter that I'm converting to a land speed car. Hope ya like. this last pic is one with the name that I chose for her and a kabuki mask that I want to make a decal of and use it on the nose of the car. Any comments are welcome. Thanks fer lookin. Dan
  11. Thanks guys, and you're welcome Lee. She was a fun build. I learned a lot because this is the first model that I scratch built parts and used parts from different kits and finally using brass sheet and copper wire. Dan
  12. Thanks guys, and yep, 'ol Pat Brady had all kinds of problems with her at critical moments, and that's part of what made this fun to build, bringing back the memories. I also had some "problems" building her, but was well worth it in the end for me. Dan
  13. Here are some pics of Nellybelle as she is finished. I really enjoyed buildin her. Hope ya like I added Bullet that I got from a guy (Rallyrabbit) at BnB forum. The dog looks great. Thanks fer lookin Dan
  14. Now this is one Perty car. I like the color combo you chose for this. The wheels look great also. Dan

  17. Great tip Peter. I'm going to try that on my next build. Dan
  18. I like both ends. I just think they were better lookin than the Fords because of the front and back. The Fords were just to plain lookin to me. Great build ya got goin here. Dan
  19. Welcome aboard Ken. I've been here a little while and like it here also. Good to see ya come on board. I know that people here will enjoy all your builds as we all do at the other places. Dan
  20. Another good lookin truck Ken. How did ya do the striping? I like the two tone paint. 8) Dan
  21. Looks good so far Mj. I like the 60 Edsel's, they look better than the Fords in my oppinion. Dan
  22. Yeah, I agree, GM should have done it back in 1970. That looks awesome. Dan
  23. Here is a pic of my second TV that I put together. The base was made from one of my "speakers" from BK coffee lids turned upside down. I scratch built the rabbit ears and cord. Hope ya like. Thanks fer lookin. Dan
  24. Great. Can't wait to see this project. One of my aunts had a bad accident in a WWII surplus Jeep back in the fifties. She flipped it over and she was trapped underneath. Two of my cousins and another aunt were thrown over the hill. They all were ok except my aunt who was trapped. She servived and is well today, but has her left hip wired together. This all happened in the hills of Birtch River, West Virginia. I still love the old flat fender Jeeps and the early Jeep trucks. Dan Oh yeah, he's a traitor, but, he could put some flat fenders on the landing gear and convert it to a flying Jeep. Yeah, that's the ticket.
  25. Yeah Bob. I've loved Jeeps all my life to. I would love to see your truck as you build it. If ya can, post some pics before ya start and thru the build. I am interested in seeing this. I would like to have a 1:1 Jeep truck from the fifties. I like the looks of them. "Happy Trails to you, until we meet again". From the Roy Rogers Show. Dan
