  1. The idea of a Calsonic Nissan for the frame is great.kind of like it, I'll check the feasibility but it would be a supreme insult not to use a Chevy engine. Specially that a vette took second podium place at LeMans. Also some of those kits are well detailed but not the chassis and roll bars.I might modernise one of those Revell IMSA Mustang with new technologies and engine.

I found that this concept is called ALMS Camaro for American LeMans Series.

I think it would be a cool fit. The only thing I can say for sure is the Calsonic Z is a multimedia kit with a metal chassis. Kinda bad.

Maybe someone here has a Calsonic Nissan and can show the chassis/suspension?

Really digging the Camaro. Looks killer. I wanna drive it!

Edit: how about a Revell Compuware Vette? Easy to get a hold of, gt chassis and a Chevy power plant.

  2. Thank you all for the nice comments. I'm working on the body but have no idea yet for the chassis...Maybe an IMSA racer kit, or a modified Nascar with raod race suspension...decision, decision

I'm thinking maybe a jgtc/gt500 chassis? Tamiya offers a heap. Calsonic r32/33/34/35, a bunch of different year Nsx's, supra's, sc430's. Maybe some will work quite good.
  3. I apologize for taking the thread off topic but I really had a wonderful and memorable time. Robin, I hope you and the wife enjoy yourselves. Do me a favor and toss a couple of coins for me into the Fontana di Trevi. We hope to return later this year or early next year. Ciao!

    Sure will!

The renting an apartment sounds nice, Alltho this hotel is really nice, I would love to get past this "tourist-y" way of visiting Rome. At the moment I don't have the time, but next time I visit Italy I'll definitely rent a car or something and take a trip along the amalfi, or just along the coast to wherever I end up. Lovely country.

  4. Wow! It's hard to believe it's been almost a year since I did any work on this one!

As I recall, I got a bit hung up on the engine and suspension. I think I'll take a look at it today and see if I do something to get it going again.

Sometimes my ambition outpaces my my skill, patience and/or energy.

I believe you have the skills, but sometimes all of us need to step back and look from a different perspective to know how to tackle certain obstacles.

Unfortunately you've let this one lay for a year, but I'm certain you can figure it out. Have a look at it and keep on working, that chassie looks way too good to be left in a box.
