  1. They came from the AMT '70 Coronet Super Bee Pro Street
  2. That is a real clean looking build with slick paint as well. Nice work.
  3. Thanks again fellas and Happy New Year to all of you as well!
  4. I did some work on the roll cage set up and made some adjustments to the interior panels to accommodate the larger rear wheel tubs and I redid the delete back seat area and package tray. All fits snug and I'm happy with that. Slicks are ready as well.
  5. I had some Cady decals and I did a '64 about 25 years ago. I remember not being happy with the results back then.
  6. Ron the wheels are 1/24 scale slot car wheels purchased off ebay. Thanks
  7. I'm using the Moebius kit as a basis for this build as it already has a Hemi engine and correct type interior that the A990 cars had. I'm going to use a sheet of Fred Cady decals that are at least 25 years old. I cut a small piece and it slid off the paper without cracking. I've had these decals in a box all that time. I was fortunate enough to witness Steve Bagwell and his stable of factory Hemi cars ('Cuda and '64 and '65) Plymouths @ the NHRA Southern Nationals at Commerce Georgia many times in the early 80's and at the WDRS (Winston Drag Racing Series) points meets at the Brainerd Optimist Drag Strip In Chattanooga also on several occasions usually wheeled by Richard Griffin. I have always been a huge fan of Steve Bagwell and his Barnett prepared race cars. Anyway....I am doing this as a phantom build with more modern items such as an updated roll cage system, wheels and so on. Here are a few pics. I have started by back halving the rear with large wheel tubs. More to come when I can. Thanks
  8. Thanks again guys.....I omitted this slammer Nova...
  9. Thanks to one and all for the great comments!
  10. I believe also that its the Black Force. Your paint work is just getting better and better Jim. Nice job!
  11. They are all great but the Super Bee takes it for me. The dio is great as well....the burnout black marks are a nice touch.
  12. I would normally complete 7 or 8 builds during a year but I have been away from the workbench for 2 years due to a major relocation among other things but I finally managed to knockout a couple of projects since September.
  13. All great builds without a doubt.....But as mentioned and I must agree...The subtle weathering is a great touch and very realistic. Excellent work!
  14. Superior builds with beautiful paint and great back grounds and photography. Congrats!
  15. Impressive and diverse Wayne....All are great but the S/C dragster is really out of the park.
  16. I've seen your work area in person many times Wayne and I know first hand that you have some superior projects just tucked away. I plan projects but as you know I only work on one or two at a time. I plan on a few Super Stock projects since the intro of the Mobieus '65 Plymouth S/S kits. Since my move I'm still sorting out a good work space for my projects.
  17. You don't see many door cars in Super Comp (mostly dragsters) but I built this 'Vette for the S/C category anyway. I put it together with a diorama in mind with the tarp and the open chute and other bits and pieces. I used an original Revell Hot Rod pro street Corvette as the basis. It comes with a solid mount rear end and to make it more real I scratch made a ladder bar with coil overs rear end set up. The rollbar in the kit is adequate but to make it modern I added a funny car cage. I added wired electronics, scratch made window net and seat belt harness. I used and assortment of graphics and decals and its painted in MM paint and automotive clear. Thanks and I hope you enjoy.
  18. Excellent work Wayne. The stance is great and the graphics are perfect for this Dodge.
  19. Thanks fellas! It sure feels nice to be building again Wayne. I have 10 projects in my head....problem is that I can't build them all once.
  20. I just completed this build this week and I'm happy with the results. I used the Slixx decal set and it is applied in multiple layers and it can be a challenge at times but Slixx decals always lay down smooth. I used MM paint and clear, wheels and tires from my spare parts box and I used a modified Revell chassis pan with a scratch built cage and front truss bars. I did this as a curbside (some of you know I like slammers and curbsides) with plenty of interior electronic wiring details, scratch window net and seat belt harness and so on. It has an engine but the hood is sealed. I hope you enjoy the pics and thanks!
  21. You've done some great looking builds lately Wayne as always. This Camaro is going to be great and I liked the super comp dragster and the Bucky Hess cuda.
  22. Thanks for the comments fellas.....The smell would have been bad...LOL
  23. Awesome work Brad.....Nice!
  24. Thanks for the nice comments and welcome back guys....I appreciate it! Being away for 2 years from something that I have a passion for was really hard. I really hope I never have to move or relocate again. Being back at the bench is therapy for me. I have some projects in the opening stages and I will post new work when I can. Thanks again!
  25. I built this dio in 1994. It has survived two major moves from Tennessee to Florida and back again with 2 small moves within state. What is remarkable is that I still own it. I have been known to sell off my built models from time to time. I built this to honor my grandpa and his cattle business way back in the 1930's when they (his brothers) bought and sold cattle on a weekly basis at the local auction barn. Thanks and I hope you enjoy.
