  1. I've worked on it some over the last week and got a Hemi engine scratched out and started out of the parts box and also picked out some nice wheels and tires. I've started some mods on the body like adding some wedge to it (lots to do body wise yet) and opening the doors. Thanks!
  2. I'm anxious to get hold of some of these parts...Wayne's testimony is about all you need to know.
  3. Looks like a beast Joe....Looks good...Keep at it!
  4. Looking real good!
  5. I've got a paint scheme in mind for this build but you guys will have to stay tuned for it.
  6. Thanks for all the great comments guys! I really should clarify that I'm not going for a vintage, retro or even a swoopy current Pro Mod look on this build. I probably would have been better off calling this car a Top Sportsman because that class is full of dozens and dozens of regular looking cars that may have some body mods like a wing etc. and they still run in the sixes. I'll have more as soon as I can. Thanks again!
  7. Thanks fellas, I am going to do some body mods to this one but it won't be as radical as the Dodge Fever that Wayne posted pics of. Tyrone I'm going to use a nitrous Hemi in it.
  8. For the main tubing on this one I used Evergreen part no. 223 3/32 tubing that has a diameter of .093. I normally use part no.222 1/16 rod with a diameter of .062 for the entire structure. But, I wanted it to look a little beefier so I went with the larger tubing. Supports and bracing still utilizes the 1/16 rod and smaller 3/64 rod also.
  9. Simple and straight forward Scott...Great info!
  10. Joe, this is a scoop that 1320wayne poured and he gave it to me a couple of years ago.
  11. Thanks for the comments guys and Scott I'll be looking for your wheel tub article....BTW...You have some great looking parts of which I will probably order some from you very soon.
  12. Thanks fellas, Bart that is a good idea with the soda can. I'll give it a practice run in a few days just to see how it does for me. More on this build in a few days.
  13. This is a project that I just started and there is a long road ahead but I definitely have made progress on it so far. I made the chassis except for the wheel tubs and I would have done them also but after wasting almost a sheet of plastic I gave up. I couldn't get the tubs to hold their shape at all. The next time I'll use sheet aluminum and that will remedy the problem about shaping the wheel tub. I'm in no hurry on this one. Thanks!
  14. That engine detail looks great!
  15. Thanks Terry, slicks have a tendency to turn a gray color after a few burn outs and they kind of get a dusty look about them. I must admit I was a little heavy handed on the weathering on the slicks though.
  16. Thanks to all you guys! Tyrone, on Saturday Feb. 4 there is Jaxcon in Jacksonville at North Florida University and then on Saturday March 17 there is the No Billet show at the Don Garlits museum in Ocala put on by the MAGS crew from Tampa. Both are super fun shows but the Billet show has tons of real cars (mostly rat rods) as well.
  17. Thanks for the great comments fellas! Tyrone it was fun at the Southern NNL but not enough time to really talk shop. There are other shows coming up in Feb. and March if you are able to travel some.
  18. Thanks Bart...LOL..The box is full of small parts and junk so the tire is actually resting on them.
  19. I just finished this one and I did it specifically for use in my diorama.
  20. This should be a good one Wayne....Will it be ready for Jacksonville?
  21. All your builds are impressive looking...Good stuff!
  22. That is a very nicely done build and it has definitely held up well.
  23. I've seen it before Tyrone along with several others and its always scary but, thankfully most of the time the driver walks away.
  24. Its in the weeds...I like it!
